(18,402 posts)My argument was aimed at the progressive bloc consolidating around Sanders rather than Warren. Since there were only those two in that group, it made sense at the time of posting to state it otherwise.
The same could be said for the center-left bloc, who coalesced around Biden. But in that case, it was a function of waiting to see who among the still many candidates was going to do best in the early contests and Super Tuesday: it was a lightning-fast, last-minute coalition. For myself, I would have voted for any of the remaining candidates on that side, including Warren, who I think could be seen to straddle the two sides. As it stands, the decision has been made for me (I don't vote for a few more weeks).
I don't know. I'm not an analyst.
