In reply to the discussion: Why are there Bernie Sanders supporters with Elizabeth Warren in the race? [View all]betsuni
(29,080 posts)102. She used to be so popular with Sanders supporters.
Conveniently used for the: "I'd vote for a woman, just not THAT woman" thing (and it was "labels aren't important" as far as Warren being a former Republican was concerned.) Then she failed to endorse Bernie, a great sin.
She has her own policies, is an optimist, fits into the category of "a progressive who likes to get things done," has said she's a capitalist. Sanders appeals to those who prefer slogans over policy, are pessimists, think capitalism is bad (no thought to which party deregulates and gives tax breaks to corporations and is corrupt to the core). Now Warren is considered to be too much like Hillary, and we see "former Republican" used as a negative.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

You're probably right about that... but, don't see why it should be that way.

Touche... but, I can forgive Elizabeth given the depth of her progressive evolution.

Except Elizabeth hasn't done any of those things just to run for President.

Lol. That will shake the election to the core! I don't doubt MSNBC and CNN will dispatch a reporter.
