53. 2016 was a different election. Our candidate was demonized and our own people

With help from the Russians caused our losses by refusing to vote for the nominee.. And Trump offered policy that appealed to the rustbelt ... a region we took for granted. A moderate didn't lose ( and Hillary was no moderate).

A populist who lied and promised to bring back manufacturing won in three key states. Look at the electoral map. I warned last time that a Democratic message that the jobs are not coming back was a bad message for us. I still thought we could win. I was wrong. And we lose this one too if we don't target the rustbelt with a message of hope and then follow through with policy when we win.

A left left progressive has no chance of winning in the rustbelt which means Trump wins if we nominate such a person ...and let's geographically balance the ticket while we are at it. We can win but not if we refuse to be realistic about how we win.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
