Democratic Primaries

(713 posts)I think that whether Biden is moderate or not is a secondary argument to whether he is fit to be President. It is all over social media that Biden is in cognitive decline, senile, suffering from dementia, whatever you might call it. You do not see this argument too much here on DU, but this is a Democratic bubble.
This cognitive issue is being pushed by Sanders people but also by Trump people. Biden needs to get out a head of it, because it is not going away. Trump will use the argument against Joe should Joe win the Democratic Nomination, which seems likely at this point.
Biden and Bernie are scheduled to debate on March 15th. Biden needs to take that opportunity to show that he can speak and think clearly and can stand up to criticism and arguments from Sanders. Consider it a dress rehearsal for the General Election.
I think that we need to address the cognitive issue here on DU, because this topic is blowing up all over social media. It will not go away unless Joe can address the topic. He needs to dismiss it by showing that he still has a sharp mind on the debate stage and through the rest of this campaign. We need to get out ahead of the issue, I think.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
