with my employer healthcare, there are different rates for single,spouse only and families. As a single, I pay $180.00 a month. People with a spouse pay more than singles. Families pay a great deal more. So, your little analogy is not quite apt in this instance.

Start with a Medicare buy in. You will see some early retirements, freeing up long held jobs.
