(6,810 posts)...therefore he shouldn't talk about Global Warming." ? I clearly remember those slams against him during the Idiot Son years. Or the more recent slams against AOC for daring to wear clothes more expensive than used trash bags when she showed up in D.C. to begin her term.
Did the $1 that pushed Bernie over the line to officially make him a millionaire suddenly make him not advocate for economic issues? Are people who demand higher wages for others required to live as paupers themselves lest they become as hypocrites? I really don't understand this thinking. Well, from the right I do, they only deal with lies, soundbites and simplistic moronisms, but from the left? What?
This whole bleating about Sanders becoming a millionaire is just so dumb. As if it negated the body of his decades-long political career. Did Hillary's comment about "super predators" negate her accomplishments and advocacies? Duh, no, because that's stupid. It was a thing she shouldn't have said and was taken in a way she didn't mean and wasn't trying to say, but it definitely didn't reveal her to secretly be the Grand Wizard of the KKK. Anymore than Sanders becoming a millionaire from his book makes him part of the Illuminati. Or Gore actually being the true source of most of the world's C02 emissions because he owns a car. Hillary isn't a racist, Sanders isn't a rich elitist, Gore is allowed to educate about and advocate for solutions to climate change.
