(6,810 posts)Gore had a larger carbon footprint and more wealth than most regular voters. Those are facts. Conservatives slammed him for that as if it made him a hypocrite. He had personal wealth so yes, he had the choice for a larger home, and his advocacy meant he traveled to speaking engagements frequently. Climate change takes global industrial-level solutions, not Gore opting to bike everywhere and living in a tent. He mostly spoke of taking global action, not barking at every person who drove or had others drive them.
Sanders is barely a millionaire, but has spent his entire career advocating for economic equality. Again, people are slamming him pretending everything he's ever said is null and void just because he's entered the club. It's nonsense.
