I think that defectors from RFK to Wallace were far more numerous than any splinter of self identified "revolutionaries" whose actual votes were at odds with their professed ideals. Ever since Bobby ran, up until now, it was always considered a big plus for Bobby that he was able to attract cross over support from working class whites, many of whom were infected with racism at the time, while he continued to champion civil rights for all Americans.
That is why so many of us were convinced that Kennedy would have won a head to head election against Nixon which would have ended the Vietnam war years earlier than it did, and saved hundreds of thousands of lives.
