(8,663 posts)to see him apparently ignore the need to either discipline or disavow them.
I am concerned that he seems tone deaf on the need to publicly address the Russian questions. it does not help his causes that he has yet to address this.
I am also very aware of the effect a similar situation had on my favorite ex-senator when the Russian Trolls hyped and amplified #MeToo sentiments. It did Al Franken no good at all to ignore events and implications, and defer comment. It amplified reasonable suspicions and allowed those with agendas to drown out the truth.
I saw the activities of the DNC on the ground during the primaries in NC. They did everything they could above and below board to deny progressive voices in the NC Democratic party. Between GOP and Russian interference and dis-information, and the actions of the DNC and our own NC party there was much ammunition for doubt and suspicion regarding Democratic goals and methods. Bernie and his people didn't create that doubt. Any Democrat speaking to progressive issues got the same treatment. Any NC Democratic donor was given a very clear picture of what they were funding and what or who was NOT on the menu.
But that was the last primary and not this one. Surely the DNC and the DCCC have learned from their mistakes?
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
