(4,482 posts)I had to re-register under a new name. I was never a prolific poster under the old name (Nostradammit) but I read this site daily for a decade-and-a-half and have always tried my best to understand everyones point of view. I believed Sanders had the better chance of overcoming the shenanigans the GOP were certain to engage in, and understood from my distant mouth-breathing relatives that they, and many millions like them, would crawl miles over broken glass to vote against Clinton.
Once she won the primary I was fully supportive, but fully expected Trump to become the next president. There was SO much acrimony and division around here, coming from both sides in equal measure, that it became obvious the Democratic Party at large had become too fractured to function. Both camps in our party have acted out of reasonable fear and both have suffered as a result. We must coalesce this time or face a very dark future.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
