(9,497 posts)Bernie supporters from other places in 2016, the sense was that no one was listening on either side to the peons. I am in the middle of a hiatus from FB, 4 months strong, so I am not connected to new members at all.
However, I would say that looking at most of our candidates and what they are saying, there is a lot more focus on the left behinds. I think that is the strength of the bench we have now.
So I am more hopeful than you seem to be. I think the burn it down ones will be less inclined to vote at all. I think if we have a candidate that focuses on what the next 50 years will bring as in climate issues, education access, healthcare, the ability to get out of living paycheck to paycheck, we have it made. But we must focus on what they need to hear.
