I disagree with Pete strongly with his argument 'why should those that don't go to college subsidize those that do' s a RW talking point. We all subsidize corporate welfare and non-sports fans subsidize stadiums which both are transferring taxpayer wealth into the hands of private interests. We also spend trillions on defense, give tax breaks over and over, corporate subsidies, etc again mostly transfering taxpayer wealth into the hands of private interests. There are other measures besides raising taxes on the poor when the richest corporations pay 0% tax like Amazon who was still wooed with sweetheart deals to come to New York & Virginia.
