I had one friend who was a Sanders supporter on FB ask me for an apology when it turns out Russian Bots were doing so much of the anti-Hillary messaging on Sanders pages.

I asked for an apology from her for all the times I fact checked and debunked unfounded Hillary smears on her FB page (during the general, even though she said that she was voting for Hillary, and defeating Trump was the most important thing) and she got defensive because she was more interested in having her anger and disappointment validated than she was in actually electing Hillary.

She will never admit she was letting her rage make her a mark for Russian attempts to divide Democrats. When she got a notification that she had followed, liked or re-tweeted Russian Bot accounts during the election, she just accused Twitter of trying to discredit Bernie because they were a corporation, and he was going to take them down.

She would also not use the FB tool to see if she had done the same with BOT FB pages.

She's at it again with posting every Jacobin and Intercept and anonymous Medium screed against every Democratic Candidate other than Bernie as a "Well that's another off my list!" while dismissing information that I share about similar things Sanders has done with "We need Bernie in the campaign to pull the message to the left - he is just too important to criticize now!" Interestingly, that's the reaction Masha Medieto recently revealed senior staffers had when she and others went to them to report abuses within the campaign.

My friend is not a bot, but she sure is an unwitting tool.

She's a scientist, so you would think that she could analyze the data logically. but since she is a scientist, she assumes that she is analyzing everything logically, even when she's freaking out. She has a dualistic, black/white, no grey area way of looking at things.

Bernie definitely appeals to those who share that, and seek it in a leader.
