That's just to grab attention because I found it before I found a site with quotes from reputable sources. We've all seen the quotes posted here from reputable studies and journals, though. The threads are very long.

Face it, the people we're talking about are very different from principled, ideological Democrats. They're not merely ignorant or deluded, and they're not just deplorable. They're despicable by our standards, all their excuses attempted cover for what is inexcusable.

On the plus side, they're only about a quarter of Sanders' supporters. The rest are honorable Democratic voters. And only half of that quarter voted directly for Trump, while others voted third party to defeat Democrats and thus indirectly helped elect Trump.

On the bad side NOW, for 2020, Sanders has lost support from mainstream Democrats and is working hard, indicated by his Fox "town hall," to replace them with trumpsters in far larger numbers, with whom he wants to defeat all our principled Democratic candidates. He wouldn't need or owe his base a thing after elected, of course.

The term "lie down with dogs" comes to mind, except that's an insult to dogs of course.
