The last election's "Oh I would totally vote for a woman for president, just not THAT woman" has become this election's "Oh I would totally vote for a woman, just not THIS year."
And Jennifer Rubin(!) is right. People talk about "electability" as if it's some kind of settled scientific fact and not a concept that's being foisted on them. It sounds like it must be true, so they accept it as wisdom and repeat it. It's a perfect example of Stephen Colbert's "truthiness."
