I HEAR HER. NO amount of apology will ever undo the damage done to her.
Remember: that is her only point.
It's not fair, however, to come from that position for the next eighteen months. It invites in women voters a stubborn one-issue mentality of hardening one's judgments early, then clinging to them. They disable themselves from fending off Republican attacks later because they won't do any more of the important homework on their party nominee.
No one mistake should define a politician for life, all other accomplishments weighed.
I hear her. To cling desperately to the idea that Biden still is who he was then, is to deny any politician's undeniable right, capacity and willingness to evolve.

This is a Big Issue.
Here's how Joe can repair the damage:
nominate Anita Hill for confirmation to SCOTUS when Ginsberg retires.
Justice Hill has a nice ring to it.
