(4,035 posts)They stated at the outset that the crowd were mostly Democrats and independents, which is to be expected. The outrage is that Democrats dared ask the Senator questions, which is just baffling, to be honest. For crying out loud, the Senator is running for the DEMOCRATIC nomination - he is asking Democratic voters to vote for him in the primaries. It should be extremely obvious that Democrats, you know the ones who are assessing whether they want him to be the party's nominee, would ask him questions about himself and his positions.
CNN has the responsibility to make sure the questions aren't too far-out and attacking, but other than that? It's free exposure for the Senator. He and his supporters should be happy he got this chance. And I didn't see any outrage when avowed Bernie supporters asked Kamala Harris questions at her town hall - not from the Bernie crowd, nor from Harris, her campaign or her supporters. I wonder why.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
