124. Decriminalize Marijuana now

It's neither ridiculous or stupid. It's long overdue.
Tens of millions of Americans have gone to prison for marijuana use; many have had their lives ruined by a "justice" system that lets corporate crime go, but is all too eager to lock up lower and middle class people for marijuana usage.
I'm 72, and was around in the 70's when it was considered an act of civil disobedience, and a pretty darn good high.
It was a social experience for many.
It is no where near as debilitating as alcohol.
It is no more a "gateway drug" than alcohol.
And it is not a killer drug like oxycontin.
It should be legalized and regulated like alcohol and tobacco.
Now there's a killer drug...it took my father. And the combination of alcohol and tobacco took my brother.
I know dozens of people who died from these legal drugs, but I don't know anyone who died from using marihuana.
