The GOP base is Charlie Brown, thinking this time they'll get to kick that football.

Televangelists pushing that Rapture nonsense have them all well trained to buy codswallop forever in the hope they'll get to watch everybody else suffer while they waft up to the clouds.

They'll be dragging this out until the next Congress is seated and they'll try to drag it out after that.
