2. I would like for Democrats to not only say that "trump killed the deal" but to be more explicit about the

reality of the situation.

1. trump is not in office, he cannot kill the deal by himself.
2. republicans in office who DID kill the deal did so because trump asked them to do it, trump needed something to campaign on.
3. Because trump doesn't have anything positive to campaign on, he needed something where he could blame Democrats to try to make them look bad, irresponsible republicans in office obliged to trump's whims.

That is the reality, trump should be attacked for the failure of not passing legislation, but voters need to be reminded that a person who is not in office was able to order people who are in office to do the wrong thing for the country.
