the consequences to the individual, to populations, to humanity of what technology can bring sans safeguards. Nor do I think his Asperger's allows him to "care." I'm not saying he's a sociopath (as I do believe Trump is), but that his so-called "emotional IQ) is so minimally ingrained in him that it leads him to read book after book on philosophy to try to understand what is missing. Yet, I'm not sure he absorbs those different views as more than just an academic issue.

This isn't an insult on Asperger individuals or any on the spectrum. But, I've spent enough time interacting with some that I do think their differences are not always conducive to certain tasks--despite the incredible brain power many bring that can surely pass that of most of us.

So, I do think Musk and his teen whiz programmers/hackers are going to put all of us at great risk. The psychological community has tried to warn us about both Trump (and increasingly Musk) but it seems few are listening or have any power to act. The future may not be a good one...
