My brother was born on Torrejon Air Base in Spain was registered at the US Embassy in Madrid as all the military children born on the base were. John McCain was born in Panama to a US admiral and allowed to run for president. That a person born on a base in Germany was deported is absurd and would be considered a dual national until age of 18 where he chose US citizenship because he didn’t want to serve in the Spanish army to have dual citizenship. Rules have changed over time.
