Susanne Craig actually came to Mary's door to ask for her help getting information and it took her awhile to finally decide to help. But back then she still had access to the family attorney so she was able to access the records that helped with the story - I think it was published in 2017, so TFG finally got around to seeking "revenge??" And Mary also said that the entire family was adverse to paying taxes. Guess they learned it from their wealthy father - and he was the one who made the money, as we know, all of TFG's businesses failed.
