I have been thinking along the same lines. Democrats need to be more visible on line, using facebook, youtube, TicToc, Bluesky, etc. They especially need to reach the young adults in this country. This idea of going door to door is so old fashioned and doesn't work. I've done it and most people are not home. Those you interact with either agree or they do not want to talk to you. Many people do not want strangers coming to their door and calling them.
The town halls are working so do more of those. Find more ways to listen to the people. I receive at least 20 requests for money from Democrats and PACs everyday, but they don't want to hear from me. Just my money is all they want. I'm done with giving until I see change.
The key issues I would like Democrats to talk about are 1) tax reform to simplify the tax system, and raise taxes on the wealthy while eliminating loop holes, and 2) reducing the deficit and debt so that ultimately reduces interest payments. The two issues are closely related. Every time the rich get tax breaks, the deficit increases, the debt increases, and interest payments increase. The rich haven't paid their fair share in a long time. They need to make up for paying too little. Only when these issues are tackled will there be money in the budget to solve other problems.
