I suspect most subscribers to NYT know what's at stake. Many don't care, but they know.

Heck, 91% of readers identify as Democrats.

91% of The New York Times readers identify as Democrats. (Pew Research Center)

As for political affiliation, more than 9 in 10 people who cite The New York Times as their go-to news source identify as Democrats. For comparison, only 7% say they’re Republicans, while the rest either identify as Independents or don’t have any political leanings.

Simple. We are running against the worst candidate in history, trump. Yet, we are behind. Hopefully, Biden's team

will up it’s game to show we can beat trump. I cannot explain how the POS trump is ahead, but he is.

Kudos for Biden getting out there when he could have gotten discouraged after debate. He’s tough. If polls, etc., indicate he’s got a good chance to win, great. That’s the best way forward. If not, I want to beat trump whatever Hail Mary it takes to shake things up.

Were you reading/watching media every day during his rape trial, fraud trail, bonking a porn star trial, Jan 6th, etc.

The media was blasting him 24/7 for months and months. He looked like scum to anyone who cares.

Biden is in the news right now for a reason. It more than evens out.

If Biden had blown trump’s sorry ass out in the debate, that’s all media would be covering. Heck, GOPers would be looking for a trump replacement.

How do you explain trailing the absolute worst POS candidate ever, trump. Biden's team needs

to up the game.

I’ll give him credit because he’s out there hitting key spots since last week. He’s even wearing makeup (which he probably detests).

Takes courage and desire. If the polls nudge up a bit, he might have a decent shot with backing.

Al hasn't said much about the debate aftermath. But, here's a short 1 minute video on his facebook page--

For those that don't want to look, this is a clip of Norm Onstein who appears on Franken's podcast often.

In the clip with Franken, Onstein says Biden should have nailed trump on abortion when trump said babies are killed late in term, etc.

Onstein says, Biden meant to say women were dying without treatment, But, then, Biden go mixed up and turned it back to immigration and gave an example that was about an migrant killing a woman. Franken chimes in to clarify, "Biden did that."

Then, Onstein said, if this isn't fixed in a few days, we are in a heap of trouble.

That would be huge. It's one thing to restrict entry. But people who have been here for several years,

have not committed serious crimes, are contributing to community, etc., should not live in fear of arrest, deportation, family separation, and worse.

Hope it works. I wish we would get together and work out a long-range plan that improves all of Mexico, Central America, and the USA.

Having worked in her district, her supporters don't care. They love her inbred look and actions.

Her Democratic opposition in November is a retired (40 years) Brigadier General and owns a farm now.

He's infinitely better qualified, but her district likely won't see it that way. Hope I'm wrong because that would be a huge shift.

Not voting for trump even if he achieves sainthood. But there appears to be some truth to this, and it's on agovernment

site that oversees Medicare (CMS.gov).

President Trump Announces Lower Out of Pocket Insulin Costs for Medicare’s Seniors
May 26, 2020
Medicare Part D

"Today, under President Trump’s leadership, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that over 1,750 standalone Medicare Part D prescription drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans with prescription drug coverage have applied to offer lower insulin costs through the Part D Senior Savings Model for the 2021 plan year. Across the nation, participating enhanced Part D prescription drug plans will provide Medicare beneficiaries access to a broad set of insulins at a maximum $35 copay for a month’s supply, from the beginning of the year through the Part D coverage gap. The model follows on the Trump Administration’s previously announced 13.5 percent decline in the average monthly basic Part D premium since 2017 to the lowest level in seven years.

"Currently, Part D sponsors may offer prescription drug plans that provide lower cost-sharing in the coverage gap; however, when they do, the Part D sponsor accrues costs that pharmaceutical manufacturers would normally pay. These costs are then passed on to beneficiaries in the form of higher premiums. The new insulin model directly addresses this disincentive by doing two things: 1) allowing manufacturers to continue paying their full coverage gap discount for their products, even when a plan offers lower cost-sharing; and 2) requiring participating Part D sponsors’ plans, in part through applying manufacturer rebates, to lowering cost-sharing to no more than $35 for a month’s supply for a broad set of insulins.

"Under President Trump’s leadership, for the first time, CMS is enabling and encouraging Part D plans to offer fixed, predictable copays for beneficiaries rather than leaving seniors paying 25 percent of the drug’s cost in the coverage gap. Both manufacturers and Part D sponsors responded to this market-based solution in force and seniors that use insulin will reap the benefits.

"Based on CMS’s estimates, beneficiaries who use insulin and join a plan participating in the model could see average out-of-pocket savings of $446, or 66 percent, for their insulins, funded in part by manufacturers paying an estimated additional $250 million of discounts over the five years of the model. With a robust voluntary response from Part D sponsors, CMS . . . . . . ."

As my Lady Friend says, "You can't boil water." Therefore, I gladly pay for any kitchen thing she wants.

Actually, I can boil water and cooked on my own for decades. But, it was survival level.
