The political positions of the modern Republican party repudiate their own founding principles...


Modern Democrats have more claim to Lincoln than his own party does....

(and if you look at the electoral map of modern presidential elections, and compare them to the results of 1860, the modern Democratic map is eerily similar to the Lincoln map of 1860)....

4. IMO, the best thing Republicans can do for our Nation is to simply stop lying.

I've been subjected to it since Nixon/Agnew. After moving to Kentucky, it was later in my face with McConnell's mailings to my house (until they found out I'm a Democrat) and I would occasionally overhear a blast of it on someone's radio from Limbaugh. Although not listening to their garbage, I could tell people were changing and with many becoming very nasty.

It's never stopped or slowed down since and got much worse after Fox TV started.

Even with the billions they receive from wealthy supporters, if they would simply stop deceiving and lying to Americans, everything in our politics would change for the better.

Is that too much to ask of our public servants?
