What is it with the right fascination with the term pronoun(s)?

Most of their references have little, if any relation to an actual pronoun. The Twitter Tyrant had absolutely nothing to do with a pronoun. Maybe I am gravitating to being part of the grammar police but I am not alone.

they don't even know what is a pronoun. Verbs (prosecute) and nouns (Fauci) are not pronouns, you fuckwits.

A lot of their mocking of pronouns is also an attempt to demean the younger generation, since they're mostly the ones using them. These kids are the antithesis of everything the GOP stands for, and this smacks of GOPers trying to turn them into another enemy.

Really, no one worried about pronouns (they were assumed a given) until recently. Once they knew it was a thing, it became something to mock. However, like all things the right mock (see gay marriage) society will quickly adapt and soon complaining about it will be seen only as a badge of inclusion in the very narrow conservative movement. In the end, it's not a big deal to most people.
