This, too. One of the stories my mom told me about the WWII era was of being in high school in Colorado a Jewish boy from Europe transferred in he had witnessed book burnings so from his eyewitness to her horrified ears to her telling her child: great piles of books seized from homes, bookstores, synagogues, tossed in the street and set alight.
