Not negating the fact that he is fucking crazy and a Rump lackey he does own the company that is out performing NASA. His company could probably improve ATC and at least upgrade them from the use of paper strips and floppy disc technology.

“Calio also said that it “blows his mind” that controllers still use floppy disks to upload data to IDS4 (Information Display System) computers in more than 200 ATC facilities. IDS-4 was first deployed in the early 1990s.

Calio said, “How is the FAA supposed to attract young talent and compete for jobs when they use technology that most 20-30 years old have never even seen?”

If a write to a database at X goes wrong, data for 67 users gets messed up.

If ATC software messes up on 67 users in a plane, .... there will be hell to pay.

... Musk, famous for self-crashing cars, will now be handling the country’s aviation system.

After a horrific start to his tenure, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has decided that our aviation system needs Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE’s help.

“Big News–Talked to the DOGE team. They are going to plug in to help upgrade our aviation system,” Duffy wrote Wednesday on X ...

...Rachel Campos-Duffy. And yes, they are best known for their appearances on several MTV "reality" shows. Rachel Campos-Duffy is one of the benchwarmers on Fox and Friends Sunday, a placeholder show that no one watches. (Until he was selected by Trump for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth was also one of the hosts).

The Duffys have been on the wingnut welfare teat for decades. They're radtrad fundamentalist Catholics, so they also run that grift on EWTN etc...Rachel Campos-Duffy had some kind of sinecure job funded by the Kochs at one point. They don't seem to have any kind of regular job associated with an actual physical product or service. They're always making TV appearances, etc., all of which must be paid for...

I didn't watch [MTV's] The Real World much...but I viewed enough episodes to see that Campos-Duffy was a constant antagonist on that show. One of the personalities on TRW was the son of a Black Panther activist or something, and another was a gay man living with AIDS (and who died during the show, as I recall). Campos-Duffy was always on someone's back about every conservative outrage du jour, and of course having a gay man and a "Black militant" as roommates meant that there were always fireworks when Campos-Duffy was around.

Campos-Duffy and her husband are constantly making TV appearances, and both of them now co-host Fox shows (Campos-Duffy on Fox News, Sean Duffy on Fox Business). I have also seen Campos-Duffy on EWTN (radtrad Catholic TV).
