partner has been cooperative and didn't know the shooting was happening, not 100% sure of motive at this time because he hasn't read all of the documents. Suspect left a note that the governor can't talk about yet.
Governor says it's important to understand how a person get radicalized like this. If this was MAGA and a radicalized MAGA person I would be saying this a well. As much as people wish it wasn't or don't want it to be, these are the facts. This is what his family is saying.

(1,299 posts)Because strangely enough you aren't asking for citations from people who agree with you who haven't cited anything.
The grandma you cite says she never heard her grandson discuss politics, says he never fired a gun, and absolutely didn't do the murder. So hard to use her to say the accused was definitely a Trump supporter given she never heard him either way.

(112,602 posts)Has that escaped you? Yes, it IS customary to post links IN the OP when you make such assertions. As to others "agreeing with me," I have repeatedly stated I don't know what the motivation might have been. Nor do you. So, if they "agree with me," it is my point that some here are casting some aspersions not validated by factual sourcing but rather RW memes. That is pretty disappointing to me (and apparently some others) to see on DU.
Your article cites comments from the grandmother that did not appear in other articles. For all any of the rest of us know, it is the other grandmother making these comments or a misconstruance of her words in your source. Do you know for a fact that is not the case or are you just determined that which is posed by RW media be unquestioned, unreviewed? By your combativeness toward me, I have to wonder.
I have an open mind until more comes out from reliable, validated sources--especially where there is overt and repeated attempts by the RW MAGA to blame Dems, Progressives, Libs, LGBTQ, Trans people and everyone else they consider "the enemy." I'd hope you would join me in that.

This was reported very matter of fact on Friday without bias.
Then yesterday, Faux News said the roommate was transgender. I don't trust this because I also read there was cosplay and AI filters involved with the roommate.

The story is also vague as hell. I saw the reports yesterday about the roommate being trans and the story is the same in all outlets - vague with no details.
Is there a roommate or not? Is the roommate trans or not? Was the shooter in a relationship with the roommate or not? Nobody has offered any details.
Maybe the shooter was in a romantic relationship with a trans person. And maybe not. We don't know enough to say.
Re-leaping on the "he's a radical leftist so all you Democrats are murderers!" story is ridiculous and predictable. (Not blaming you just observing that this seems to be what is happening again.)

What if voters move without updating their address?
Records are automatically updated when a voter obtains or renews their drivers license or when they change their drivers license address. Election offices use the National Change of Address database to identify voters who have moved. They inactivate voters who have not updated their address or who had mail returned as undeliverable. Inactive voters are notified that they must verify or update their address before receiving a ballot. Ballots are mailed only to active voters.

"We can confirm that, that his roommate was indeed a boyfriend who is transitioning from, from male to female. That's, that's information that the FBI had, had mentioned yesterday. We can confirm that as well. And that, that, that he is cooperating with, with authorities as well," he said.
However, officials have yet to identify a motive in the killing.

You know, the type of person who would do something like that to Charlie Kirk would love to do it to us, Cox says Trump told him. Trump went on to recite statistics suggesting that the presidency was one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet. Fifteen percent of the men whod held his office had been shot; 8 percent had been killed.

(441 posts)there was even the hint or picture of a suspect. I witnessed it everywhere on right wing sites.
Then there was the deliberate leak of evidence suggesting "pro trans" writing on the ammunition. This is a concerted effort folks, to initiate a war on trans people, and yesterday loony Loomer actually went as far as to say this:
It seems like this was very pre-meditated .
There are literally shooting clubs now where Trannies meet up to learn how to shoot rifles and they wear shirts that say Kill fascists and the 2nd Amendment is for shooting cops.
They are training for war.
Its very dangerous.
Who provided him with the rifle he used to kill Charlie Kirk?
I don't know what will eventually emerge about the suspect, maybe some of it is true, but there's no doubt in my mind they'd make it up anyway. If you are trans, or have trans loved ones in your life, this is concerning what they're trying to do, and it won't stop with this incident.

(2,501 posts)We have not heard from the shooter. Utah has the death penalty. My suspicious brain chatter is hypothesizing that a deal is in the works right now that if the suspect agrees to the deranged lefty narrative, he gets life in prison, maybe parole some day. Otherwise, death penalty. This whole thing, from the deed to the coverup at the highest levels, is very dystopian.

Most killers have motives. If this turns out to be his motive why would it be the fault of people who were bullied by the victim?
Nobody deserves to be murdered and I would never say they deserve it, but... if Charlie Kirk was murdered by somebody defending somebody they care about, doesn't Charlie Kirk bear any responsibility for his bullying words and actions?
Seems like the ultimate FAFO. Not that I'm advocating for or defending murder. Murder is bad and I'm opposed to it. But it's a dangerous world out there and Charlie Kirk helped make it more dangerous.
