(4,129 posts)I don't think it was in the movie. But carol Honeycutt was BJ's wife who is often spoken of and appears in a photo in the episode when the families of MASH 4077 have a reunion.
But definitely in the TV show.
This Carol Hunnicutt co-starred in a 1990 movie.

Tommy notices Rose too. "You'll have angels coming out of your arse before you get next to the likes of her."

(33,464 posts)It's a well-known newspaper, and the film is about that newspaper, and it's from 2017.
Also, it got 2 Oscar nominations, one for Best Picture.
And you probably did hear about it.
(It's a great film, imo)
Harker
(18,146 posts)during or after 2017, so I looked into it for the answer.
I had not heard of it.

(33,464 posts)Excellent movie.
Reese Witherspoon received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress, and Laura Dern was nominated for Best Supporting Actress,
playing Strayed's mother.
I wish I had attempted the PCT when I was much younger.

(33,464 posts)Which I heard read on the air a few years back on a local community radio station; that's where I first heard about her.
(Also, photos of the real Cheryl Strayed are on the closing credits of the movie; and she even looks like Reese Witherspoon)
[Reese should have received the Oscar, IMO...Julianne Moore won it that year for "Still Alice"]
