One of the best ever with a group or solo. I have always been a big fan.
Never got to see him live. Damn.

A devotee of studio rather than live but that was good, I wonder if Finland still lets the audience come up on stage after

allowed to go up to get autographs.

But I did read somewhere, not on YouTube, about the band having been such perfectionists doing a lengthy sound check that they almost didn't have time to do the show itself, and I wonder if the audience had been kept waiting a very long time and were given more access to the band afterward, to make up for the wait.

Had to pick 3 songs off their list of 100. List came out 2 weeks before the contest & bands had to turn in their selections 5 days prior.
We made it a production number, starting out with the Peter Gunne theme, then the song, then a jazz piano solo over m7 chords, back to the song.
The big twist is we rotated the lead vocal, line by line, among the 4 of us.
Went over like gangbusters. Won us the contest, and all 4 of us won best on their instruments. Made $2,600 for 3 songs!
So naturally, I have fond memories of this song.

remembered your reply when I posted that live performance months ago, so I linked to that thread in my reply 3 above and mentioned your reply there, which was slightly more detailed.

That must've been an amazing performance by your band.
