***Submission Thread for January's Photo Contest***
A nice challenging theme for the January photo contest was chosen from HAB11: "Stream, Creek, River, (freshwater, moving, or frozen, etc.). You are welcome to peruse through your archives, or dash outside to your nearest stream, creek or river and snap some good shots.
This thread is for photos only! NO COMMENTS!

Now for the rules:
The Winner of a November’s contest may enter the the January contest (HAB11).
Only one entry per person. You need to post your entry in the submission thread started by the Host of the contest. Please be sure to include a "Title" for your photograph in the Subject line of your post. The submission thread is for photo entries only, no comments or questions. The Host will start a separate thread just for comments and/or questions.
The Volunteer Host is allowed to enter the Seasonal Contest.
Please keep your entry no larger than 1024 pixels in its longest dimension and under 675K in file size and limit photo editing to a reasonable amount. We would prefer your photo look like a photograph instead of a digital design. If you aren’t sure, ask the group in a separate thread. You’ll get plenty of feedback to specific questions.
If you need help posting a photograph or with image sizing, just ask.
Once a photo is entered in a contest it is ineligible for any future contest unless the Host specifies otherwise.
Submissions will be limited to 30 entries maximum unless the Photography Group votes to change the limits.
CONTEST LICENSE:
An entrant to this contest (original work), by submitting a photograph, is giving permission for that photograph to be copied to Demopedia or to a linked Gallery and included in a DU Calendar that will display the photographs entered for this contest for the purpose of publicizing future contests and/or commemorating current and past contests. The entrant retains all other rights to the photograph being submitted. Neither Demopedia and/or a linked Gallery may use any photograph submitted for any purpose other than to display the photograph being submitted by the entrant, and neither gains any real or implied ownership rights to the photograph.
The submissions will run until January 14th - or until we have 30 submissions entered. If 30 entries have been submitted before January 14th, I will close the contest. On the other hand, I may well allow a second photo, and will announce that later on in the allotted time period.
Looking forward to seeing all of the entries. We have some very talented photographers on DU!
