Drip, drip, drip is better than one news dump?

The Committee probably understands that better than any of us.

If they were to take all the smoking guns and breaking news reports and released it all at once, it would be a mistake. It would soon be rebutted and forgotten by the public.

They need to feed it to the people in small bites. Hopefully, the people will soon realize that they do not have an appetite for more.

It cannot go up like a hot-air balloon and be lost in the clouds.

I am sure the Committee has a strategy for releasing the information they now have in their possession.

"Fake News"

People have been lied to and deceived. They have been conned.

How many times have we seen Rachel Maddow call the White House with advice or the White House call anyone at CNN or MSNBC for advice? I think it is safe to say that none of these people are inside "advisers" to President Biden.

How many times did Sean Hannity and folks from FOX News call the White House and offer advice and how many times did the White House call them? How many times did Donald Trump call everyone except FOX News "fake news"?

What type of reporters or journalists would take their marching order from the White House? What type of journalist would try to advise the President on how to run the country? What type of journalist would never tell his viewers or listeners exactly what his relationship was with the White House and their policies?

Who was really the "fake news"?

A quote from Samuel Adams:

If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating

contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch

down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity

forget that you were our countrymen.

Samuel Adams, (1722-1803)

A devastating piece of evidence would be...

...one of the videos that Trump made before the final one. If it didn't please his sycophants, it must have been really bad?

Can you imagine what it would look like played on the national media?

Would he look friendly to the mob? Would he express his pleasure and appreciation for what they had done?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. A video must be worth ten thousand words?

Does the Committee have those videos or were they destroyed by the the Trump people?

It could be devastating for Trump.

The illogic of the Big Lie

Trump wanted his supporters to believe that they were ripped off. The election was "rigged". Because he lost.

But they have never taken the time to think about it logically.

Most of us vote in a precinct. There are Democratic and Republican precincts all across this country.

When they vote in their precincts, their votes are recorded and sent to their respective counties. The counties record their votes and send them to their state election authorities, usually their Secretary of State. There is a record of their vote from the moment they vote in their precinct. If there are discrepancies, they have the means to find them. They did not find them in the election of 2020.

Votes did not magically appear that were not cast at the precinct level. Republican votes did not change on their way to the Secretary of State. They were reported as they were cast. Those that believe otherwise have bought into the Big Lie and have not thought about the logistics of their votes. They have chosen to believe a lie over the facts.

It is illogical.

How much is democracy under threat? Where would you be willing to compromise to save it?

Is it an existential threat?

Would you be willing to work with Republicans with similar worries about our democracy?

Would you be willing to change Party leadership, if both Parties agreed to change? Is that a bridge too far for you?

If you were convinced that the radical Trump-cult fascists out-numbered both Democrats and traditional Republicans standing alone, would you join traditional Republicans to save our democracy?

I am slowly coming to the conclusion that Democrats and Republicans will have to join together to fight this threat or we will not survive as a democracy. The Trump cult are not Republicans. They have no ideology except Trump. They are not conservatives. Their intent is to destroy our democracy.

Or would you prefer to die and go down with the ship if that was your only choice?

How big is the "Big Lie"?

Those that believe the "Big Lie" cannot offer any proof or evidence that the election was "rigged", but they know it happened.

It is not "normal".

But they truly believe the election was stolen from them.

Is it a waste of time to try and convince them otherwise?

Is it time to retire the "Big Lie"? People are going to believe what they are going to believe.

The paper ballots should still be available if they would like to investigate. But, if they wish to be credible, they will need to have someone a little more professional than the "Cyber Ninjas" that re-counted the ballots in Arizona.

The "Big Lie" does not define very well our present political situation. The "Big Lie" morphed into a criminal enterprise.

Perhaps there is a better description?

Did anyone see the ad on Lawrence's show that was demanding that Joe Biden resign?

I seldom pay much attention to ads but this one was especially egregious and propagandistic in nature.

Did anyone see who made that ad?

Did VP Pence order the National Guard to the Capitol?

Nicolle Wallace discussed this topic today with a panel of guests.

I think they will discover thru their investigation that Trump outright refused to call anyone to help the Capitol Police and finally someone, perhaps General Milley, called Mike Pence and Pence made the call to send the National Guard into the Capitol.

As I recall, Trump did not call off his mob until the National Guard was on their way, or in the Capitol. He did nothing to stop the violence.

Mike Pence was the Commander in Chief.
