The "Crime" Issue ?

Republicans are running on the "crime' issue. They should be running away from it.

Gun violence is the worst "crime" issue now facing the America people and it is not the Democrats that refuse to do anything about it. It is the Republican Party.

Democrats should welcome any discussions about the "crime" issue, in my opinion.

If guns on the street were not as common as M&Ms, the crime rate would be a lot lower and the American people would be a lot safer.

Republicans want to talk about "crime"?

Let's talk about it.

Two Plus Two Equals Four

How many insurrectionists would have come to Washington on January 6th if they had not been invited by Trump? (Remember "Be there. Will be wild"? )

How many of the mob would have marched to the Capitol if Trump had not said, "We're going to march to the CAP-I-TOL...and I will be there with you"?

How many would have resorted to violence if Trump had not said, "You have to be STRONG if you want to take your country back"?

It is obvious to everyone with an IQ above 50 that it is a Cult. They were reading Twitter and listening for orders from Trump, even as they were attacking our Capitol. They were following a cult of personality.

The question for the American people is do we bend the rule of law to accommodate these immoral, violent, criminal cultists that attacked our nation on January 6th? Do we continue to give them the benefit of the doubt that they have one shred of credibility?

Or do we hold them accountable for their attack upon America? Their excuses do not hold water. It was not Nancy Pelosi's fault. It was not the fault of the Capitol Police. It was not the fault of a rigged election.

It was nobody's fault except the Cult and their Leader.

In comparison to todays economy, how was the economy when Biden took office?

As I recall, we were in the middle of a worldwide pandemic and Biden was very instrumental in getting much of the population vaccinated. The economy had shut down in many places, the supply lines had been severely affected, with shortages in many products. The unemployment rate was very high, although many people were working from their homes.

There was a lot of government spending to help people that were in desperate straits, which did not help the inflation rate, although most economists see the present inflation as a world-wide problem.

With all the criticism of "Biden's economy", it is useful to understand where we were at when he took over the presidency.

What direction does Republican Party go if they win the House and Senate?

Do they lurch forward in the direction they have been going for years?

Or do they draw back from the edge of the abyss and work toward a more moderate politics?

Will the impeachment of Joe Biden be at the top of their agenda?

Will they withdraw support from the Ukrainians in their war against Russia?

Will they continue their plans to make abortion illegal across the entire nation?

Will they continue their anti-freedom, anti-liberty crusade against the American people?

Hopefully, the people will not vote to put them in charge of the House and Senate. But, at this time in our history, we have no assurances.

Hopefully, they will denounce the criminal acts of Donald Trump and some in their own Party, and attempt to put their Party on a different track. However, we should not hold our breath for this to happen. It is not likely for them to relinquish the power once they capture it.

If they are given the responsibility to govern, perhaps some will be driven by conscience to do what is best for the country?

The time is drawing nigh.

The answer cannot be found between Democrat and Republican.

The problems our country is confronting will not be resolved by either the Democratic or the Republican Party.

This is a battle between America and the Fascists that aim to take over the soul of America.

We can only resolve this problem as Americans. We cannot resolve it as Democrats or Republicans, as much as we would like, or as much as we believe. We cannot desert our Constitution.

In my opinion, we must form the largest coalition possible of all political Parties, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, if we are to defeat this scourge of lies and deceptions.

I do not believe we are beyond the point where we can save our democracy. But I do believe it is up to the American people as a whole if we are to survive this crisis.

The political Parties are not our salvation.

Indicted or not, Trump will never stop crimin'

It's in his DNA. He can't help himself.

It's a challenge for him. He has to top whatever crime he last committed. Just as when, after Barr cleared him in the Mueller investigation, the next day he was on the phone to Ukraine, attempting to extort the president of Ukraine, to get dirt on the Biden family before the November election. That was his first impeachment.

Then he recruited violent militia groups to attack our Capitol and overthrow the last election and put himself in charge. "They" cheated him.

As if that was not bad enough, he then stole secret documents from our government and took them to his Florida mansion. Some are still missing and no one knows where they are?

But, you can bet this is not his last crime.

There will be another and another until he is locked away or keeping Ivana company on the golf course...

Law and Order Republicans stand behind Donald Trump.

How do you spell hypocrisy?

Republicans are actually running on the law and order issue. After the last 6 years of criminality, they are accusing Democrats of being "soft on crime".

They always bring up the violence in Portland Oregon in the last year of Trump's term in office. As if they had nothing to do with it. After all, they only had the presidency and the Attorney General to work with. But it was all the responsibility of the Mayor and the Governor of the state of Oregon. Actually, they should have been able to work together to resolve the violence.

So they excuse what happened on January 6th because of what happened in Oregon the previous summer. They are not equivalent. Either way, they are not very good examples for "law and order".
