What is the strategy for the DOJ ?

In my opinion, they should charge every single accomplice in the attempted coup before they go after Donald Trump. It appears that is what they are doing.

They should pick them off one at a time until there is accountability. If they charge former Chief-of-Staff Meadows with contempt of Congress, the Congress is making good progress toward holding people accountable.

If the Supremes do not rule on "executive privilege" in favor of The Former Guy, then I would not be surprised to see the J6 Committee subpoena Donald Trump.

What would be his excuse?

It seems to me this is the direction we are going?

Has the Supreme Court become "radicalized" ?

Are the majority now part of the cult?

Although the decision about Trump's "executive privilege" should be cut and dried, is this Court far-enough removed from politics to make a rational decision?

I have my doubts.

The power of the "cult" is over-whelming in the Republican Party and the Court has already shown that they are ready to play Republican politics if it is the right issue.

Perhaps it is a thought we should not entertain? They are not insane. Surely they will not open a can of worms that will smell all the way to Moscow?

Does anyone yet know the names of the Senators and Congressmen who watched Power Point presentation?

Not only do the American people need to know these names but so do the people that voted for them the last time around. It was obviously a planned coup attempt and none of them reported it to the FBI. We can only assume they agreed with the plan.

Perhaps most of their supporters agreed with them? But there may have been some that do not and those voters should be informed of their traitorous act.

Did they know at the time that VP Pence did not agree with it? Did any of them raise any objections about what was planned?

If they all plan on running for re-election, the voters deserve to know who they are and just what they participated in? They do not deserve to represent the people of this country.

Contrary to what some of them are saying, there was nothing "constitutional" about their actions. They were anti-democracy and anti-constitutional. It was an attempted coup and it was in writing.

Will the Supreme Court take the Trump case??

Why would they take a "hot potato" that is a known certified loser?

Why would they sully their reputation even further than they already have?

But, I would not be surprised if Trump's lawyers ask for a month extension to prepare their case. Which they might be rewarded with a couple of more weeks?

One thing to remember is that people like these grifters never run out of schemes.

They will say and do anything to delay the inevitable.

It would be a nice Christmas present.

The attack upon our Capitol had several architects...

...in the conspiracy to over-throw an election and perpetrate a coup upon the government of the United States.

It is becoming more obvious that there were several people behind the "plan". We now see that former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was very instrumental in carrying out the conspiracy. Along with Steve Bannon, John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, Rudy Guiliani, and a few others, that conspired with Donald Trump to keep him in power.

In effect, they created "election fraud" by lying about election fraud. The only fraud that was discovered was the fraud they committed on the American people. The "Big Lie" was the fraud.

It is very tough to prove sedition or conspiracy against the government if everyone refuses to talk.

Also, it is a huge challenge for the Justice Department to charge and prosecute. But, for the sake of our country and our democracy, they must.

The Select Committee is doing the best they can do under the circumstances.

However, if the most they can come up with for this heinous crime against our country is "contempt of Congress", it is not much more than a cover-up for the real crimes.

Justice is the duty of the FBI and the DOJ. They must pull their heads out of the sand and get serious about holding people accountable for attacking our Capitol and threatening the lives of our elected Representatives. Otherwise, they are of little use to the present government.

In the end, it is not a problem of the Democratic Party. It is a problem for the American people. If Democrats and Republicans cannot agree to come together as Americans and protect this nation from such an assault, then we are lost.

We must fight this battle together, as Americans.

The law doesn't apply to them.

They can disregard subpoenas from Congress. They do not have to do what every other citizen in America is required to do.

They are criminally inclined. Laws are made to be broken if they get in their way.

We see them personified by people like Steve Bannon, Mark Meadows, Roger Stone, and many others.

Will they ever be held accountable?

They tried to overthrow an election. It was an attempted coup. It was a criminal act.

That is the bottom line.

No matter how much they try to portray it as something else or to paint a different narrative, it is what it is.

They can try to minimize it. They can make jokes about it. They can say it was just a rally that got a little out of hand. But the people that feared for their lives on that day do not think it was a joke.

It was planned. There was a war-room to strategize their movements. It was a traitorous act against our country.

That is what they do not want to confess to.

They can't. They are in deep denial.
