Why did Biden tell an autoworker that he would "slap his face"??

He's a 78-year old man. He's not going to slap anyone's face or kick anybody's ass. Why would he say such a thing? Is that supposed to make him look macho?

This was after he told him he was "full of shit", after the guy accused him of wanting to take his guns.

I don't get it. Is that the best way to handle such a discussion?

Trump and Team fake sincerity about Coronavisus in hopes of instilling confidence in markets.

That was my impression as Trump nodded and semi-rolled his eyes during his news conference at the White House today.

He will do anything to get the stock market back on track, including pretending that he believes the coronavirus is for "real". He has called it a "hoax" - a fake creation of the Democrats and the "fake news" media.

But, if he has to fake sincerity to get the stock market back on track, then he will do it.

Unfortunately, the virus doesn't buy bullshit. It is what it is. It does what it does. Nothing that is "fake" will work with it.

The issue that is being overlooked during all this confusion?

It is corruption.

During all my years, I can never recall such widespread corruption throughout our government.

It has now become common to accept contributions from foreign governments, to ask for assistance and to get the approval of the US Senate in doing so.

Everybody wants to make a dollar off our government. Nepotism and shady deals are now as common as swapping your vote for a new bridge in your district.

Many would agree that the passage of Citizens United created a whole new world of corruption. But, we could never get the self-righteous conservatives of the Supreme Court to admit that they screwed up. They are part of the corruption.

So the election will come and go and the corruption will continue. The politicians will not address it so long as they can benefit from it.

Does anyone watch "Homeland" on Showtime?

Interesting episode last night.

The President of the United States visited an outpost in Afghanistan.

Shouldn't the CPAC carrier make himself/herself public?

So those that he/she had come into contact with could better prepare for their quarantine and treatment?

Why would they want to keep their identity unknown?

Why are Republicans so hesitant to identify this person? Who are they trying to protect?

We could assume that many others at the CPAC Convention would also like to know who they may have come into contact with that was carrying the coronavirus?

When they are lying in their beds very seriously ill, will they still deny that they have a virus?

God is such a Trickster

First, He sends us the lyingest, cheatingest, most arrogant, most Commandment-breaking hypocrite on Earth to be President of the United States and then convinces his supporters that he is a messenger from God Himself. God would never send someone like Jesus as a messenger - that would be too easy to figure out.

Instead, He sends his vessel disguised as sinner who never felt the need to ask God for forgiveness, because he never did anything to be forgiven for. His supporters know that God works in mysterious ways. The satanic Democrats do not have the capacity to understand the workings of the Almighty.

Then, He installs a philistine like Matt Schlapp to care for his "messenger's" political affairs. Soon thereafter, He creates a pandemic that spreads around the world, even so far as the political event of the CPAC Convention in Washington, DC.

Then, just to keep the satanic Democrats confused about His "plan", He plants someone inside the CPAC Convention with the dreaded virus. He prepares a way for Matt Schlapp to shake the hand of the infectious carrier, before he shakes hands with Donald Trump. Not even the greatest chess player could have figured that one out.

Now, God asks the question: Is Donald Trump carrying the virus or not?

He is such a Trickster.

What was the Republican excuse for not calling witnesses in Trump's impeachment "trial"?

As I recall, they blamed the House for not allowing Bolton and others to testify, so they had no obligation to do the job the House should have done?

However, as I recall, Bolton refused to testify before the House but had publicly stated that he would testify before the Senate if subpoenaed?

Still, the Senate refused. They did not believe it was their job to accumulate evidence beyond what the House had already gathered, which was abundant and over-whelming.

On the face of it, the Senate neglected to do their duty. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that their job is to defend the President of the United States. Their responsibility was to look at the evidence, all the evidence, and deliver "impartial justice".

It was a whitewash of the first degree.

Democrats should not let the people forget this. In no way, in no spin machine, was Donald Trump cleared of the charges against him.

Several Republicans did not question the charges against Trump. They believed he tried to get a foreign leader to help him tear down his possible opponent, Joe Biden, in the next election. However, they did not think it was impeachable - they thought it was "inappropriate".

They did not want to hear any more evidence. They did not want to hear from any other witnesses. So they got out their brushes and covered it all up.

First case of COVID-19 confirmed in the state
The Governor has declared a state of emergency.

<snip>
LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed that the first positive case of COVID-19 has been reported in the state.

At an earlier press conference, Beshear had stated that there were no confirmed cases of the virus in the Bluegrass. 10 people had been tested, seven had come back negative and three results were outstanding. That was until this afternoon when one test came back positive.

One case has now been confirmed in Lexington. The office will not be releasing more information on the patient at this time as they work to establish contacts.

The governor urges people to practice good hygiene and to stay home if you are sick. He also urged the public to remain calm.
