The Mueller Report is just the tip of the iceberg.
Robert Mueller was limited in what he could investigate. Still, he discovered a criminal operation within the Trump organization, led by people like Paul Mamafort and General Flynn. Also, he uncovered criminal acts by Trump's attorney. Michael Cohen. A couple of them are now in prison and Mueller handed off a dozen investigations to other jurisdictions, including SDNY.
But the charges in the Mueller Report are still very damaging, although it was limited to obstruction of justice and cooperation with the Russians to interfere with our election results.
There are still outstanding charges of paying off playmates and porn stars to keep them quiet.
Also, there are many questions about emoluments from foreign countries and whether there was money laundered in Trump's real estate deals?
There are also charges of witness tampering with several potential government witnesses. There are charges of bank fraud also. The Mueller Report is just the tip of the iceberg in this investigation.
If he didn't deserve impeachment, we would have said so...
Do we all answer to the same laws, or do we not?
If no man is above the law, then no man can hide information from the Congress, the Representatives of the People. There has to be accountability.
We expect there to be questions. We expect there to be investigations. We expect a lot from the people who work for us, i.e. elected officials. They do not have a free ticket to do whatever they want.
The power is with the people, thru our Representatives.
The Democratic Party will investigate. The Democratic Party will ask questions that need to be asked.
Either the Executive cooperates with the Congress or there will be consequences.
There will be subpoenas. There will be contempt charges. There will be fines. They will be taken to court.
There is no free skating.

The lowest common denominator
One of the classic philosophers, (perhaps Plato?) wrote about our "ideals". For example, when you envision a horse, you do not think of an old sway-back mule, but a beautiful stallion. When we think of a house, we do think of an old run-down shack, but something more beautiful. Those are higher "ideals" of reality.
With Donald Trump in the White House, he does not represent our higher ideals, in my opinion.
He would prefer the friendship of tyrants to the friendship of honorable men and women. He is more likely to befriend a criminal over the law-abiding citizen. He prefers the shady and crooked path over the straight and narrow.
He prefers to look at the negative instead of the positive. He prefers to
criticize rather than compliment. He prefers to divide rather than unite.
He seeks to take America lower. He seeks to destroy the ideal of community and democracy. He is the lowest common denominator to all of our ideals about becoming a better nation.
We cannot predict the future....
..but I feel fairly assured that whatever happens will be worse than not impeaching Donald Trump.
He should be gone out of general principle but he continues to cling to power. He uses all the tools in his propaganda drawer to keep his sheep together. He has been very successful.
But, for those that worry about what might happen if he is impeached, I worry about what might happen if he isn't impeached.
The Congress is the people's Representatives. After all, everyone cannot get into the nation's Capitol..
Those in power do not give it up willingly. It must be forced from them.
That is the job of Congress.
Power to the people.
Question: Would it be "Impeachment Enquiry" or "Impeachment Inquiry" ?
?w=1200In my opinion, the Clinton impeachment hurt the Democrats.
Contrary to the conventional wisdom, the Democrats did not win back the House or the Senate or the White House. But should they have?
In my opinion, the Democrats had the best unemployment rate in many years and the economy was doing very well. But, Gore was fearful of campaigning with Clinton because he felt the morality attacks against Clinton were something he could not defend. This hurt him and the Democratic Party.
So, the idea that impeachment hurt the Republicans is totally false, in my opinion.
Nancy will follow the majority of her caucus.
If the majority chooses to impeach, Nancy will support them.
However, at this time, there are only 50-odd Congressmen in favor.
Nancy will not veer too far from the will of the majority, in my opinion.
This is a reality which she must deal with.
