Like A Rolling Stone

FOX News is lying, traitorous scum.

As are all the others that intentionally spread propaganda that they know is untrue but serves no purpose but to divide our people and incite violence.

It is too bad they cannot have their license to broadcast suspended.

They are destroying this nation, along with the weak-minded, uneducated riff-raff that supported Donald Trump and that attacked our Capitol.

Evidently, no one at FOX has any shame?

The "Insurrectionists" have no remorse or regrets for January 6th.

I saw a report earlier today, perhaps it was CNN, that interviewed some of these people that were arrested and none of them thought they did anything wrong. They are in complete, total denial.

They are a danger to society. They are a threat to anyone who does not believe the way they believe.

However, do not be surprised if they begin to call themselves "political prisoners" sometime in the near future. The "government" is their enemy. Democrats and their policies are the "government".

Assaulting the police and threatening elected Representatives of the people cannot go unpunished. Justice cannot be sugar-coated in radical political ideology. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

The Trump Administration was a criminal enterprise.

Perhaps, at first, many Republicans did not know it was a criminal operation? But, they all had to suspect something when he continued doing business out of the White House with total disregard for the emoluments clause of our Constitution.

Eventually, they all knew. And they chose to be part of the enterprise. They have all become criminals. Lying and cheating are the least of their sins.

The purpose of the public trough is to steal from it. Government is nothing to be respected by these folks. It is there for private use.

The crime wave of the last 4 years was unlike anything we have ever seen. We discover something new every day. Those that disregard the crimes are undeserving of any sympathy, and certainly undeserving of anyone's vote.

Is Mitch McConnell trying to tell West VA what is best for them?

By making political threats to Joe Manchin?

First of all, Mitch McConnell is not Donald Trump - at least to West Virginians.

Joe Manchin, from what I have read, is more on the right side of the issues than Mitch McConnell, according to the polls.

Perhaps he should tell Mitch to go screw himself?

Obama's Final Numbers

I heard Reverend Franklin Graham talking about the best economy ever under Donald Trump but I see that the unemployment rate was only 4.7% when Obama left office. Trump inherited a good economy and gave a huge taxcut to the most wealthy, which they used to buy back their stock, which kept the economy going until the pandemic depression hit us. The "greatest economy ever" is slightly exaggerated, to say the least.
=====================

on edit: It should be noted that Obama inherited an economy that was not so great. Banks around the world thought they were going to collapse. It did not look good at the time.

Do Republican have inside polls showing them in deep trouble because of the Big Lie ?

Do the polls show that Donald Trump is dragging them down and could spell disaster for midterm elections?

It appears that may be the case?

It was a little surprising to see such a large number of House Republicans vote to make Juneteenth a national holiday. Only the most insane of the crazies votes against it. At final tally, that was only 14 of the certifiable deplorables.

Then, it was noteworthy when Trump went on the Hannity show and, for the first time, made the declaration that "we lost the election". Why did he do that? Unless, perhaps, he had been talking with a few Republican Party leaders?

We do not know if this is the case, but it does bear watching.

Why Trump must be prosecuted: Nothing less can break the twisted bond with his supporters

From Salon:

https://www.salon.com/2021/06/18/why-trump-must-be-prosecuted-nothing-less-can-break-the-twisted-bond-with-his-supporters/

Not prosecuting Trump would send an unacceptable message. In a democracy nobody should be above the law

(snip)
Donald Trump's presidency was an abysmal failure. Americans were constantly bombarded with misinformation, propaganda and gaslighting. We were traumatized by the sickness and death of the coronavirus pandemic that he could have contained and defeated. Our crippled economy created widespread depression and anxiety. Trump's racism, xenophobia, misogyny, nativism, white supremacy and violence were all disturbing forces. His grifting and bashing of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution revealed his shameless greed. His politicization of the Department of Justice for his own personal gain was corruption at its core. And his incitement of the insurrection of our democratic election on Jan. 6 was illegal and the behavior of an authoritarian.

But Trump continues to exert a cult-like influence over millions of Americans who are devoted to him in a "collective narcissism." Trump's supporters view him as an all-knowing, charismatic leader who is going to lead them to the promised land of happiness by airing their grievances and marginalizing people of color, Muslims, and immigrants. In return, Trump relishes his supporters because they give him the praise, adulation and unconditional respect he so desires. They fill up his insatiable need for narcissistic supply. He secretly abhors his supporters but uses them to bolster his self-image of greatness and invincibility.

(snip)

The answer is that Donald Trump must be prosecuted and punished for his crimes, especially the ones committed during his presidency, such as obstruction of justice during the Mueller probe, efforts to tamper with Georgia's secretary of state, his incitement of the insurrection and perhaps even conscious disregard or worse for the more than 500,000 coronavirus deaths under his watch.

Trump supporters will be convinced of his menace if they see him being prosecuted and punished. Being held accountable will chip away at his cult-like reverence. A bright light needs to be cast on the sordid details of his reprehensible behavior. His fall from grace will be hastened if his supporters see him sentenced to incarceration.

Reconciling the facts with ideological fervor and political lies.

What happens when political emotions and fervor run so high that the facts and the truth cannot intervene?

We are seeing it with the present Republican Party and the "insurrectionists" that stormed our Capitol on January 6th. It didn't happen.

And if it did happen, they are not "insurrectionists". It did not happen the way the "fake media" portrays it. It was mostly orderly and peaceful, behind the ropes-type of protest. It was like a group of tourists.

They cannot reconcile the fact that their emotions were manipulated, their ideology used like a weapon, to brainwash them into committing a crime against our country. Nope! They would never do something like that. But, they did.

In their political fervor, they broke all sorts of laws. They assaulted policemen. They trespassed. They destroyed government property. They threatened the lives of elected officials of our government. And more. Why? Because they were brain-washed and manipulated.

They stack lie upon lie to excuse their behavior and actions. They refuse to acknowledge what actually happened on January 6th.

Until they can reconcile the facts with their political ideology, they will remain tormented by their self-delusions. The voters are their psychiatrist.
