Espionage "deniers"...

Those naive folks that do not believe the former president is capable of betraying his country to the degree that the evidence indicates.

However, the time may be coming when these folks will have to come to grips with that reality. Espionage by any other name is still betrayal of the highest order.

When it is discovered that top secret documents were transferred to a third party in another country, the betrayal will be complete.

No amount of blaming others, or accusations of playing politics, will make it disappear.

It will be there in stark relief.

Trump had been taking documents out of the White House for the last year of his disastrous reign.

It is being reported that the office of the White House Counsel knew about it.

This may be surprising to some of us who thought he probably started removing documents after the January 6th attack upon our Capitol.

Now we find that he was removing the secrets long before that?

And the question remains: Why?

Why didn't the White House Counsel report it to the FBI? It appears that the incompetence reached a dangerous level.

Once the truth is known, we will likely discover that he was stealing secrets from his very first day in office.

If you have no problem with storming the Capitol, then you probably applaud stealing our secrets?

Once you have chosen to attack your country, why not go all the way?

There should be no problem with giving national security secrets to the Russians.

There should be no hesitation in attacking the institutions of our country.

You would probably have no problem with breaking your oath to the Constitution?

This is the new Republican Party.

Just so we know where we stand.

Do you think the DOJ will redact all of the affidavit tomorrow?

I don't think they will.

I think they will release just enough information to keep the traitors sweating.

They have a big fish on the line and they are not going to let this big carp slip away.

The pressure from the evidence will continue to weigh heavily on his mind and on his actions.

He is very worried, in my opinion.

It is that we do not know what information may have been passed to a third party or to an adversary?

Our intelligence is in unknown territory at this time.

We do not know if all the documents have been recovered yet.

We do not know what information may have been passed to adversarial countries regarding "assets" in their countries. (We do know that Khashoggi was discovered by the Saudis and murdered)

We do not know if nuclear secrets were exposed.

Do we really need a CIA "assessment" to understand this?

The damage cannot be assessed at this time. It is unknown.

It may have been contained to some degree or it may have been the biggest spy operation in history?

Should the J6 Committee invite Pence and Trump to come in and testify?

Under oath?

Pence has shown some indication that he is ready to talk with the Committee. The former president has said nothing about talking with the Committee. He would not be expected to agree to such an invitation.

However, at this time, as a matter of public relations, it would look very badly for the former president by refusing to talk with the Committee. What is he trying to hide? Of course, most Americans already know what he is trying to hide. They only need it validated.

The purpose of the invitation would be to show the American people who is keeping information from them. If he was an innocent person, he would jump at the opportunity to clear up the information and to clear his name. But that is not going to happen.

It would be a PR win for the Committee, in my opinion.

Only one question for Mr Trump: Why?

Why did you steal all those national secrets and abscond to Mar-a-lago?

All the other questions can wait until we can get an answer to that one question.

Why?

Why would he place some documents in a separate container in a closet in his bedroom?

Were they Top Secret?

Were they related to nuclear programs?

It would be interesting to know what he was holding separate from all the other documents?

And why?

Have any Republicans commented on the 300 documents yet?

Surely, they have a plausible explanation?

Other than, he's a spy.

They should have to stand in the hogshit with this criminal. They have defended him at every turn. We should expect them to continue their support.
