Inch by inch, Trump is attempting to turn his people toward Putin...

...not away from Putin.

But he knows he is walking in a minefield. How do you put lipstick on this aggressive act by his Master?

He cannot bring himself to tell the truth about Putin. He can only tell his supporters that he was the only person that could talk with Putin. Only he could have stopped it from happening.

He cannot come straight out and denounce this horrible act of aggression. Why?

It's time to ask Republicans and the Groupies Of Putin, which side are they on? People need to know where they stand. Live with the cult, die with the cult.

There is no middle ground on this one.

The History of Russia

Why did Trump want Zelenskyy to "do him a favor"?

Trump made his infamous call to the new president on July 25, 2019. He wanted him to do a favor for him. He wanted the new president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

Strangely, Joe Biden was not the favorite to win the Democratic nomination at that time. In early February of 2020, he was almost dead in the water. By the first of March, after the SC primary, Joe Biden was the favorite to win the nomination. The African-American vote carried him to the eventual nomination.

But, when Trump made his call to Zelensky, Biden had never won even one primary in three races for the presidency? Why was Trump so concerned about Biden that he wanted the new president to find dirt on him?

Was Trump the one doing a favor for someone? Was it Vladimir Putin that did not want Joe Biden in the White House? Why?

The attempted extortion by Trump never made sense to me.

Is the Ukraine Invasion worse than the Cuban Missile Crisis?

I remember the Cuban Missile Crisis very well but I was only beginning high school when it happened.

But, maybe because I was so young and hopeful, I never thought the "missile crisis" was ever as bad as the present invasion of Ukraine. Even though they were threatening nuclear weapons only 90 miles from our shore. JFK called Krushchev's bluff and they withdrew the missiles.

Now, we are being threatened with nuclear weapons again. This time the Russians are using it to blackmail other countries from reacting to their aggression. Putin believes he can take whatever he wants and nobody will dare to try and stop him.

Perhaps the best the world can hope for is that the Russian people and the Russian military will take care of their problem with Mr Putin? If not, the world will have no choice but to contain him within the boundaries of Ukraine, It is no small country. It is almost the size of Texas.

The best hope for America and the world may be to defeat Putin where he is now, rather than waiting for Act II? Keep the battle in the Ukraine. The tyrant must be stopped now, not after he invades the Balkan states. Europe and America must be united on stopping him here.

Why Putin attacked Ukraine at this time?

It is fairly well-established that his dream has been to re-unite the old Soviet Union. But, why now?

America was no longer the leader of the "free world". Their country had become very divided, moreso than at any other time in his life time. NATO was rudderless with no leader.

If his plan was to invade and take over the country of Ukraine, there would be no better time than now.

When Donald Trump, possible candidate for the US presidency in 2024, made a public statement that he believed Putin to be a "genius" and very "savvy", it got his attention.

When Mike Pompeo made similar comments about how much he respected Putin, that only emboldened him further.

He made the decision that the time was right to take back Ukraine.

His irrational and criminal act of invading Ukraine, in the manner that he did, caught the attention of the entire world.

No doubt, he had hoped and had anticipated that Donald Trump would win the election in 2020. But Trump failed. Although he used every ounce of fight in his body to try and maintain control of the White House, including an attempted coup, he was unable to defeat Biden.

Trump had set up the pins. The country had never been more divided, at least since the Civil War times.

Now, Putin has put the world in a precarious position. His war crimes cannot be tolerated.

Although, there is little doubt, that once Putin finishes pummeling Ukraine into small rocks and dust, Trump will be the first in line to congratulate him.

Republican Congressmen and Senators will not be far behind.

America has found a new secret weapon in Russia - the "Big Mac".

I guess they hadn't heard? McDonald's closed their stores because their leader, Mr Putin, invaded a neighboring country and is committing war crimes.

Now, they are really angry.

At one place, there was a line of about 500 people that did not know MacDonald's was closed.

Hold the pickle, hold the lettuce...

Should Ukraine be invited to join NATO?

Why or why not?

What do you think is the best military strategy against Russia in Ukraine?

Understanding that there are no military "experts" here, but I am not a big believer in "military experts".

The US and NATO do not wish to escalate the present situation in Ukraine. That is understandable. Because they do not know what Putin might do with his nuclear weapons.

In my opinion, Putin must be defeated militarily in Ukraine. In order to do that, the Ukraine military must be supplied with all the weapons they need to defend their country without escalating to air support. That seems to be the line they do not wish to cross?

Russia might capture Kyiv in the days ahead. They might declare that the war is over since they have captured the capitol city of Ukraine? However, they could be setting themselves up to be surrounded by Ukrainian forces in the near future? It will be difficult to hold, in my opinion.

The psychology of the war is such that as long as Putin thinks he is on the offensive, he will not resort to tactical nuclear weapons. Only when he feels trapped will he act unpredictably.

So long as Putin is fighting in Ukraine, there is less likelihood that he might invade another country. The strategy should be to defeat him through attrition and continued political opposition in his own country of Russia.

As I say, I am no military expert, but this seems the most logical approach to defeating Putin. The key is not to escalate the war. Keep it within the boundaries of Ukraine. Destroy his tanks and helicopters one at a time until the will of the Russian military has been broken. (There are reports that morale is already very low)

It is important that the Russian people do not see America as the enemy. Putin is their enemy. There are no Ukraine soldiers invading Russian soil - only Russians killing Ukrainians. That is the fact that the Russian people need to know. It is a war of propaganda as much as it is military advances. For example, there have been no reported incidents of Ukrainian use of biological weapons. It has not been reported in the press either. It was made up by Putin and his propagandists. The Russian people are lied to continuously.

The most difficult part of defeating Putin's army is to not let it escalate. It will take a while but he will be defeated.

Just my opinion.

4 years of Trump propaganda vs 20 years of Putin propaganda.

We can see the damage that Trump did to America in 4 years with his big lies and propaganda. Imagine if he had been in power for 20 years, as has Vladimir Putin. Those are the Russian citizens we are now trying to communicate with.

There was a story on Lawrence's show last night where he talked to a young Russian man that had escaped Ukraine with his wife and family and had called his father in Russia to tell him what happened. His father did not believe him. He believed what Putin was telling him instead.

We should never under-estimate the power of propaganda. Anything and everything that does not go along with the Party line is "fake news". Even after the Russian son told his father that Ukraine was being bombed and people were running for their lives, he still did not believe him.
