Not once during 4 years of polling did Donald Trump reach 50%.

Yet, his cult thinks he won the election in a landslide. They think it was impossible for him to lose. Actually, the opposite is the truth.

With his political demagoguery, he was able to get a lot of voters to turn out for him. But not 50%. Many more voters turned out to vote against him. The polls remained true.

Why is that so difficult for some people to see?

Do you know who will be blamed if Merrick Garland does not prosecute Trump?

Joe Biden.

After all, it was he that appointed Garland to be his AG.

It is very possible that a lot of Democrats would not vote for a second term if justice is not pursued vigorously.

Democratic voters will not blame Merrick Garland. They will blame Joe Biden.

We should not be naive about the political consequences.

What is going on with Mitch McConnell?

He seems to be singing a different tune in the last couple of days?

He said the events of January 6th were "horrendous". Why has he suddenly seen the light?

He said he was very interested in what was going on in the House investigation. Very strange comments coming from the guy that wants to be the next Majority Leader of the Senate.

Did he just get tired of being attacked by Donald Trump and decide to fight back?

Or is he hearing inside information from Republican voters that are not happy with the direction his Party is going?

Is he trying to move his Party to the center before the next election?

One thing we have learned about Mitch McConnell. He does nothing that is not in the interest of Mitch McConnell.

In the small back room of your subconscious...

What is your thought about the future of America?

Do you feel yourself at a crossroads?

Are you ready to open the door of that small back room?

Do you have the courage to confront the reality outside?

Is the whole world insane or is it just me?

A democracy without justice...

...will be forever divided.

When Merrick Garland was sworn in as the Attorney-General of the United States, he was very clear in his regard for the rule of law.

If he is true to his word, what can we expect from him in the coming weeks and months?

The J6 Committee has stated that they wish to have public hearings sometimes after the new year. They may be finished by the first day of spring? What happens then?

How many more names will they refer to the DOJ? How many will the DOJ prosecute?

Will the Attorney General name a Special Prosecutor to investigate the role of Donald Trump in the insurrection?

If that were to happen, the investigation would continue, even if the Republicans win the House and Senate in November. The DOJ would have at least two more years to complete their investigation.

We will find out if Merrick Garland is a man of his word and whether our nation is a nation of men or a nation of laws?

Blue Christmas

December 16, 2021

Two days before Christmas

That is when Donald Trump must make his appeal to the Supreme Court.

Does anyone expect the SC to take the case?

And if they do take the case, does anyone expect them to resolve it immediately?

These are political times and the DOJ may be waiting for the SC to make a ruling?

If the SC were to rule that there was no "executive privilege" for Trump in this case, it might free up the DOJ to move more expeditiously?

It seems to me that Mr Meadows and certain members of Congress would have much less room to maneuver, depending on how the SC rules?

The Select Committee would have more leverage in subpoenaing people, since the confederates would no longer have the excuse of "executive privilege" to claim. The only crutch they would have left would be the 5th Amendment. (One can only imagine how someone like Jim Jordan might react to a subpoena)

America needs a jury trial.

If the Supreme Court or jury trial cannot mend the damage that has been done to our democracy and our judicial system, then it is going to be a long walk home.

Americans should expect the process to move much more quickly after the first of the year. If the Supreme Court does not act, the DOJ must defend the rule of law.

December 16, 2021

I do not think AG Garland should be in a rush to charge Meadows at this moment.

This is just my opinion.

But I think he should let it simmer a while. Let more information come out. There is much more than just a contempt charge that needs to be looked at.

There is obstruction of justice, sedition, and treason that must be looked at. At the very minimum, there is an obstruction charge, for interfering with a Federal procedure, namely the counting of the Electoral votes.

There may be other charges that the DOJ wants to look at?

The Republicans are running scared at this time. The discovery of their treasonous acts is very embarrassing and they are ready to lash out in self-defense.

I think they need to simmer in their own juices for a while...
