They did not do it because they thought the election was stolen...

They did it because they thought they could get away with it.

With people like Don Jr, Rudy, Roger Stone, and Donald Trump running the show, it could not help but be criminally disposed.

They really did not believe that the election was stolen or that there was widespread fraud. They believed they could get their people to believe there was.

They saw a way to steal an election and worked to do just that.

They are not victims. They are criminals.

People have a right to know if their Congressman is a traitor...

...or has acted in traitorous activities.

This recent disclosure of 34 names of Congressmen should have been known before the last election, in my opinion. Our tax dollars will now pay these folks salaries for the next two years.

Perhaps it would not have made a difference, but the people should have had that information before they voted, in my opinion.

House Republicans threaten impeachment and hearings in attempt to intimidate Democrats...

....into dropping their investigation into the guilty criminals in the House. They want to return to "normal". They do not wish to be held accountable for their actions. So they threaten to impeach Joe Biden.

In my opinion, Republicans in the House are attempting to play "hard ball" politics as a way to protect themselves from possible criminal exposure.

In reality, they are scared shitless.

The Raffensperger Subpoena

How important will the testimony of Brad Raffensperger be to the Grand Jury and the Special Counsel investigation?

The GA Sec of State has tapes. He recorded the phone call from Donald Trump. It was devastating in its criminal implications.

Somehow, this feels like a new front in the investigation? Will this give Fani Willis and her investigation the impetus to indict the ex-president?

How much will Raffensperger tell the Grand Jury?

Could this put a damper on the "Big Lie" about the stolen election?

He seems like a very dangerous witness.

The Mature Lie

The "Big Lie" has matured.

It has become insignificant and some see it as a vehicle for humor or sarcasm. The latest example is Marjorie Taylor Green. She feels it is OK to joke about it and brag that if she and Bannon had been in charge, they would have brought their weapons and they would have "won".

In its maturity, the "Big Lie" grew into denial. Very few of the participants in the insurrection see themselves as criminals. They were simply caught up in the mob mentality. At the same time, they believe their actions were right and just.

They could not accept, in their equation, that they did very well in their election. They wanted their cult leader to win also. But the American people rejected him. However, he swayed them to go along with his "Big Lie".

Now in its maturity, they want to put it all behind them. They cannot accept responsibility for their actions. They see no need for accountability. They want the American people to believe it is all about "politics". But, they remember how they felt and what they experienced on January 6th, 2021. And it is much different from what they are preaching to their followers today.

In its evolution, the criminals that were arrested for their violent actions on January 6th have become "political prisoners". It is necessary to fit their narrative .

It is terrible to lie to others. But it is self-destructive to lie to yourself.

"Be there. Will be wild!"

No, it wasn't New Year's Eve, the last day of the year. It wasn't on Christmas Day. It wasn't on January 20th, when Joe Biden was scheduled to be sworn in as the new president.

No, it was none of those days. It was on January 6th.

Coincidentally, January 6th just happened to be the day that the Electoral votes were to be certified by the Congress and the VP.

Speeches were given to coincide with the meeting of the Congress. They were loud and threatening. They were inciteful, in many eyes.

The date stands out. January 6th was planned to happen just as it happened. It was the culmination of several unsuccessful attempts to over-turn the 2020 election. Never mind that the majority of Republicans did very well in the election. They almost took over the Congress. Most Republicans were not unhappy with the election results. But, one was very unhappy.

It was a conspiracy to over-throw the election and restore the losing side to power. Many Republicans participated in the conspiracy.

It was wild!

Anyone watching the retrieval of Artemis I capsule on NASA-TV ?

It is very interesting to watch.

To think that this man-made object has traveled farther in space than any before it and returned to Earth.

It must be very exciting for all involved.

Last I had seen, they had tied it to pontoon boats with ropes, waiting for the ship to pick it up.

They showed a stand-by crew ready to assist loading it on the ship.

They mentioned a two-hour cooling off period for the heat shield and was somehow connected to ammonia on the capsule?

There is a ship on the distant horizon.

Independent State Legislatures?

What happens if all the State Legislatures become Democratic?

But, as we know, Republicans live in the moment. They never plan for the future.

How long do they think voters will tolerate state legislatures voting for them for president, when many have only gotten their majority thru gerrymandering. The "true majority" is not in charge of many of these legislatures.

Also, it is a question about separation of powers. The Supreme Court may be able to rule on the legality of legislative issues but they are not able to dictate how another branch of government does its job. To rule against the state courts would be to rule against themselves.

It's a silly question but the Supreme Court has agreed to take it up. Who would be surprised if they made a favorable ruling for Trump and the Republicans before the general election of 2024?

They could make legal what the Trump team tried to do illegally in 2020.

The Committee's job would be incomplete if they did not send "criminal referrals" to the DOJ..

Trump had a lot of help in his ill-fated and doomed attempt to over-throw our government. They should all have a big "T" tattooed across their foreheads. They should live the rest of their lives in infamy.

As for the members of Congress, they should not escape without being named as accomplices for aiding and abetting. In my opinion, it would not serve a useful purpose to refer them to the DOJ. However, they should all answer before the House Ethics Committee. Their names should be known to every American before the next election.

Although it is true that the DOJ has no requirement to recognize any criminal referrals, it is still preferable that the American people know the names of those that have betrayed this country.

Whatever the number they refer to the DOJ, it will probably be way too small.
