I cannot believe people are talking about Trump as the possible next President.

What in the hell has happened to this country?

This lying stack of sh*t does not deserve to be in the White House - he deserves to be in prison. Not because he is a Republican or because he is hated by so many "libs", or because he is a sorry excuse for a human being.

But because he is a traitorous son of a b*tch. He betrayed his oath to this country. He tried to overturn an election so he could stay in power. He has done great harm to our country, especially to those that love him. They will suffer the most.

For me, it is unthinkable that the media is discussing his name as the likely nominee of the Republican Party and, very possibly, the next President of the United States.

How can they continue to normalize this scab? Is there no comic relief?

Tell me it's all a joke.

Did TFG participate in an insurrection in any way?

Or aid and abet anyone that did participate?

If the answer is "Yes", then would he be disqualified from running for President?

The 14th Amendment is very democratic in its wording. It does give someone the opportunity to remove the disability with 2/3rds vote from each House of Congress.

(No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.)

Some folks prefer to say it was a "riot" on January 6th, but in my opinion, a riot is more spontaneous and unplanned. It usually happens in moments of passion.

Not so with an "insurrection". An insurrection is planned, with different conspirators, to perform different tasks in relation to their act of rebellion.

In my opinion, the acts of January 6th were not spontaneous, they were planned. The email, "Be there....will be wild!", was the call to arms.

Was Donald Trump part of an "insurrection" ? Did he aid and abet others to attack our Capitol and our elected officials and to stop the certification of the winner of the electoral votes for President?

As much as Republicans would like to minimize it, or have people forget about it, the "insurrection" was a dreadful and criminal act against our Constitution and the people of this country.

Did Trump participate? That is the first question that needs to be answered, in my opinion.

The most obvious take from the Trumps appearing in Court.

It is a nuisance for them. Unlike everyone else, they think they are too special to have to adhere to such inconveniences.

That type of stuff is for the "little" people. They should not have to be bothered by such things as laws and accountability.

They are better than everyone else.

They can't wait for the day they get their revenge and retribution.

A quote from Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn .....

"We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, we know they know we know they are lying, but they are still lying"

Republicans have concluded that Trump is going to be their nominee?

And have decided to not criticize him at this time.

They have no one that can compete with him in the Republican Party. That is unfortunate but that is the reality.

Why else would they have voted unanimously for Mike Johnson for Speaker of the House? They knew Johnson's role in attempting to whitewash and cover up what happened on January 6th. They were told to minimize what happened on that date.

When they agreed to go along with the whitewash, they all agreed to stay on the Trump bandwagon. They stood for what they stood for.

Was it an illusion? Was it a lie? Was it a cover-up of an attempted coup with an attempt to over-throw an election for a wannabe autocrat?

Or was it something else?

When people go to vote, they will have to choose wisely and thoughtfully, whether or not they want to vote to cover up and whitewash the events of January 6th?

Or do they vote for the rule of law and accountability? Do they believe the Dept of Justice or do they believe the cult?

That is the choice in the next election.

In my opinion...

Netanyahu is a lot like Donald Trump. Probably in more ways than we can guess? Israel needs to demote their Leader and put someone else in charge, in my most humble opinion.

Which is more important to you?

That the truth be publicly exposed and accepted?

Or that Trump be found guilty of the crimes charged and be sentenced to prison?

This must be Halloween?

How else could we explain the ghouls, the ghosts, the evil-doers, the witch hunts, and leaders that declare, "This is a time for war"?

What other day could fit the actions we are witnessing?

Gandhi once said that "an eye for an eye and soon the whole world is walking around blind".

There are no special rules to separate humanity.

If Jefferson Davis were alive today, could he run for President?

He was the President of the Confederacy during the Civil War.

Would the 14th Amendment prevent him from running for President of the United States. He was guilty of insurrection against our country and the 14th Amendment prevents such people from running for any office.

How is this different from Donald Trump, other than that Trump was President of the United States? The question would seem to be, were they both guilty of insurrection?

The state of Colorado is now having a trial to determine whether or not Donald Trump should be on the ballot in the state of Colorado. Should this be an issue for individual states or would the Congress need to decide the legitimacy of someone like Jefferson Davis?

With the election of Mike Johnson as Speaker, Republicans have solidified their support for Trump.

Because they have all agreed that the January 6th attempted coup was no big deal. It is not disqualifying for any Republican candidate for office. It is nothing more than politics by the Democrats.

They are in total agreement with Donald Trump, their next candidate for President. They are willing to forgive and forget all transgressions by anyone in their Party, even as they attempt to impeach Joe Biden and prosecute his son for gun violations.

With the election of Mike Johnson, there should be no doubts that the Republicans have set their course and will support Donald Trump as their Leader.

Democrats should continue to make their case against Donald Trump and his criminal act against our country. And hopefully, the people will make a wise decision in the next election.
