Dear FLyellowdog, I admire your attitude. And your courage.

I've often wondered about how I would face such information if it were given to me. I hope you get all the pain relief you need, and the time with your dear ones and other things and activities you enjoy!

When it all boils down, all we have is the now, and each other.

Zing!!!!!

Keep jabbing, Elizabeth! Wear him down. Wear him OUT.

Ooh, now that is a delicious thought! Elizabeth Warren eventually heads to the Supreme Court!

It'd be GREAT to have her ensconced there somewhere down the line.

The scary part is - a lot of them have said exactly that, out loud, in public.

Take note of how many times, recently, you've heard local CONS swaggering around in front of a microphone or camera, and stating various versions of "I believe in bipartisanship! As long as your side does it MY way." Or "both sides can get along fine, as long as your side goes along with MY side."

THAT is the only "bipartisanship" they're interested in. And they are metastasizing.

I am nervous about this so-called "promise" that Nancy Pelosi believes she just got from boner. He's in no position to make any promises to anybody - especially to our side. He's not going to be able to back it up. His minions just don't see it that way. They see no reason to bargain with us Dems, or to compromise with us, or to consider the measure WE want put forward for a vote. As with most CONS, I don't trust ANY of 'em as far as I can throw my house. He and his are already saying "promise? WHAT promise? We didn't promise anything." I think Nancy is kidding herself.

I hope I'm wrong.

I'd be okay with either of these - Feingold in the Senate or as DNC Chair.

DEBBIE has been abysmal. HORRENDOUS. Total fail. I don't give her anything for 2012. But I DO note who was in charge in 2010 AND this last round last November - when Dems did HORRIBLY. And she was in charge. Can't get rid of her soon enough.

Feingold - or bring back Howard DEAN. But it'd be nice, and sweet revenge, to have him get his Senate seat back from that useless GOP squatter.

Frankly, it'd be awfully nice to get Wisconsin back from scott walker.

Certainly not! I'm in the same boat.

It's truly sad that he's gone. I'm sad. On a personal level I'm sad about this. I'm old enough to remember the original series. Loved it! It was always nice, even comforting, to know he was always there. That was happily realized by the way he kept turning up in the "Star Trek" universe. Now, there's a noticeable void.

THAT'S the one!!!!

I remember that "TV Guide" cover! With the photo of Mr. Spock and the caption - "Is It Sexy to Be Smart?" IS it??? Are you kidding??? You bet yer sweet ass it is!!! The story pondered the improbable appeal of the calm cerebral emotionless Mr. Spock to women across America - especially in contrast to the brawny, swaggering, Alpha-Male sex symbol-type of Captain Kirk. He was the one who mainly and mostly got the girl on almost every episode (except me. I woulda run off with Spock!).

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
