About Me

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.

Thank you so much for the hearts!

I'm truly touched, deeply gratified, and thoroughly unworthy!

Love you guys!

THIS.

It's gonna take more than empty words of alleged "indignation" (followed by near-certain capitulation), Senator.

I suspect that it's not only because Harry and Meghan are no fans of trump.

I'd guess there's concern that the British public would march or protest - which would wreck that special day for all of history. The British people are NO fans of trump, and with good reason. I would expect the palace would be VERY well aware of that, and wanting very seriously to have a royal wedding day proceed without any problems or public uproar. It wouldn't be a wonderful, peaceful, celebratory day if trump was there.

That young couple deserves to have THEIR day THEIR way. And so does their country.

Amen!

trump is unfit not only to touch the hem of President Obama's garment, but to be anywhere within five miles of him.

Definitely good on them!

With another great quote for my quotes file -

Desmond Tutu said, “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”

WELL worth remembering! Your silence and/or inaction speaks VERY loudly.

I HEARTILY recommend plugging into your local Indivisible group.

And/or any local Democratic clubs. From what I have personally observed, they’re all activated and highly motivated. Moreso than I’ve seen in a long time!

Just signed up. I will not miss this.

Mighty pathetic, wouldnt you say?

That IS the reason they’re not doing anything about it. Because it worked for them! Why bite the hand that feeds, ‘eh?

Cowards. TRAITOROUS cowards at that.

Great song!

How'd I miss that one?

Thanks for posting it, rurallib! And, PatrickforO, thanks for the lyrics!

Welcome to DU, Groggie!

Good! I wish Dan Rather had more exposure. We need his voice out there on a regular basis again.
