Lordy I remember that nauseating time.
"Don't worry!"
"He'll grow into it."
"He'll get it."
"He'll rise to the occasion."
"You just wait. You'll see!"
Uh-huh. How's that workin' out for ya?
Gonna start calling you "Nance, Kick 'em in the Pants!"
I, too, absolutely LOVE what he's doing to the GOP. May that gruesome old putz party be forever between not only between a rock and a hard place, but between one big fat turd and another big fat turd.
The Daily Dread - Tracking the spread, 6/26/20 - and there's a new graphic in the mix...

NOW we have something brand new. The need and current circumstances have evidently demanded it:
"New Cases Over Past 72 Hours." (That makes FIVE in that rolling graphic series that also includes "Countries with Most Cases," "States with Most Cases," the map, and the "Confirmed Cases/Deaths graphic." )
And here's what it says this morning, at 6:53am: Texas, you "win."
Texas - 17,036
California - 14,717
Florida - 13,801
Arizona - 8,444
Georgia - 5,167
And at the "big board"...

BOOM!
"As long as we're getting rid of monuments to slave owners, shouldn't the electoral college also be on the list?"
The Question of the Year, vlyons! Of the last four years, actually.

I must say MSNBC has been running those four revolving graphics lately.
All four of 'em - the Countries with Most Cases, States with Most Cases, the map, and Total Confirmed Cases/Deaths - are back. And I'm writing this post at almost 1pm, Pacific time. All morning they've been going back to those graphics again. Which I appreciate!
That tells me the network sees this, once again, as a big deal. They blew off showing those graphics in the last few weeks, after states started opening up, some recklessly so, and there was evidently not as great an urge to continue the statistics, onscreen, regularly throughout the broadcast day - or at least the first part of it. Almost 1pm is almost 4pm on the east coast where all the programming decision-makers are located.
Just an aside:
When I worked for NBC Radio, I worked on both coasts. And I got a sense of how east-coast-centric the networks were - all of them. I remember being back in California and the news producer in NYC directed me to lead with a power failure in midtown Manhattan that had, among other problems, lots of people in high-rise buildings stuck in elevators. I thought it shouldn't be the lead - it's a New York story. Should be in the newscast but not the lead because there was other stuff going on. The producer snapped back "it affects five million people! You WILL lead with it!" Well, okay.
