Welcome to DU, greatbaldeagle!
Your point is VERY well-taken. LeBron would be used by trump for a cheap promotional photo op, and he would lend a little bit of his own luster to trump, giving him a default vote of legitimacy. LeBron is correct. Hell, I wouldn't want to sit across from him either. I've read plenty about what shit he tries to pull underneath dinner tables when there's a female within easy reach and he knows nobody can see.
LeBron shouldn't lower himself by appearing in the company of such a low-life. The Asset does NOT deserve any validation from you, LeBron! You're totally right not to want to give it to him.
I wondered about that.
I've loved your stuff - and your unique sense of humor - for years.
Same here. I still can't in all honesty call him by that title.
I usually refer to him as just trump or so-called President, but lately, Im kinda partial to The Asset.
I really dont have a real, actual, legitimately elected President at the moment. And every time I see news footage of him in the Oval Office, I yell at the TV: get OUT of Hillarys office!
And youre exactly right, peggysue2. NEVER Forget, NEVER Forgive.
I used to have some. Kids 'n' carnivals 'n' all that.
I know for a fact that each of them actually WAS smarter than the so-called pResident is.
I LOVE Ted Lieu!
This one's a keeper, for sure!
L.A.Times is a pretty big paper!
But I definitely do hope to see stuff like this pop up more and more in places like the Washington Post and the NYTimes. And internationally, too.
On edit - I'm glad to see that reference to trump's illegitimacy in print now. That's REALLY good to see. And may it be only the first of legions of such references from here on! The legitimacy of his so-called "pResidency" SHOULD be questioned. Because it's as questionable as can be.
Grasswire2? Welcome to DU (because I always try to welcome those with low post counts).
I'm with the folks who'd make that TWO asterisks. Stolen election in 2000 and another one in 2004.
The ONLY way the CONS can win is if they cheat. If somebody with power and/or influence and/or strategic placement places a thumb on the scale. Let's not forget - those two times they had both. Katherine Harris who was Florida's republi-CON Secretary of State in 2000, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME serving as bush/cheney's state campaign manager. Then four years later, Kenneth Blackwell who was Ohio's republi-CON Secretary of State in 2000, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME serving as bush/cheney's state campaign manager. Neither of whom faced any conflict-of-interest challenges as they should have faced.
And then, 2016. And we ALL know what happened that year.
