This old crazy-ass dude my mother used to "keep company with" in her last years

is sending "those" emails around again. The latest one is about the ambassador's body desecrated and/or dragged through the streets.

Because it's from him, I a) don't open it - the headline in the email says it all, and b) don't believe it because it's just another one of those wrong-wing screeds that I am used to seeing from this guy.

No it's not just you! And her ladyship ann of dressage, or "ayn" for short, just doesn't get it.

SHE is "other." She and her husband. They do NOT get it. They don't even begin to get it. They're from another reality, another world. A world where you have the best that money can buy, and there is no shortage of money to ease your way and grease your skids, and nothing's a problem. Who cares if you get knocked up again? Your rich hubby can afford to keep you in comfort and style so you could just keep on spreading your legs anytime you want with no consequence. You'll never want for the finest prenatal care, the finest and most chic maternity room, the best of the first-class doctors, the best baby clothes, the most lavish nurseries, and all the nannies and household help money can buy.

Furthermore, there's so much money that you can afford to raise those kids in style! The finest schools and tutors and clothing and summers in the most luxurious style, the best Christmases money can buy, the best of everything, the finest colleges that your money can probably get them into with no sweat whatsoever so it doesn't even matter what kind of report cards they have!

As a matter of fact, you have so much money that you can afford to give them - what was it? Each of the five wrongney sons, who are healthy and strong and never had to serve in the military, was given ten million dollars to get them started? Or 20 million dollars each? I forgot how much - but what I did remember was that: the MOMENT these five boys even started out, they were set for life. Even if they did NOTHING for the rest of their lives but sit around and watch TV. They could live off that personal endowment like princes of the realm for the rest of their lives, and probably have enough that their kids would each inherit enough to live like kings for the rest of THEIR lives.

If ANYONE in this presidential campaign is "other," it's THEM! If ANYONE in this campaign is "not like us," it's the wrongneys! They're on another frickin' PLANET than the rest of us, forcryingoutloud!

No DUH! Smart people know better. He can be king of Dumbfuckistan as some call it.

sanctimonium will have to stick to the dumb shits, but unfortunately they are legion.

September 15, 2012

So basically for him it's simply the wrong "just a few people make decisions..."

Notice: if it were the "just a few people" like the koch brothers and shel adelson and foster friese and other human opportunistic infections, he'd have no problem with it.

But they're correct about one thing: smart people will NEVER side with sanctimonium. Smart people know, understand, and appreciate things like knowledge and science and logic and reason and reality. Smart people can have faith AND reality-based knowledge that governs their decisions. Smart people understand the whole concept of shades of gray rather than assuming the world is simplistically black-or-white. Smart people do nuance. Idiots don't even understand the word - or they're proudly against it like one of their heroes, george w. idiot.

I like that one:

"As the Germans themselves say, 'Vertrauen ist gut. Kontrolle ist besser (trust is good, verification is better).'"

Unfortunately, we will NOT be rid of them completely. As long as there are religious nut-cases there will always be an opportunity for rebranding and regrowth.

One reason why we MUST MUST MUST - ALWAYS - be on our guard. We MUST ALWAYS be mindful of what Mad-Eye Moody always warned Harry Potter: "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!!!!"

Now THAT sounds closer to the truth.

Makes sense if you consider the measure of the man - and what he's obviously regarded as important throughout his life. Consider his behavior past and present, plus his priorities, as indicators of the future. The picture these elements paint does not look very pretty.

The guy is obviously a high-finance gamer. Why else would he have money stashed offshore and in various partnerships and investment groups and complicated maneuvers and shelters and stuff? He's a game-rigger. That's how he got his IRA ridiculously inflated compared to what the rest of us commoners can do with ours. He's a predator and a vulture and an opportunistic infection.

I hope he takes his party down - and they splinter irreparably. Hopefully that will keep them from building the coalitions they'd need to get back into the White House. But they ARE on the wrong side of history. I think of my kids and their friends - who've grown up with peer groups that included kids of every color, faith, ethnicity, nationality, and even sexual orientation. Their generation will likely kill a lot of that old racist, sexist, and homophobic thinking as it dies out on the elder end and is not replaced on the younger end. Hopefully.

I must say - I certainly have had enough of that bullshit! MORE than enough.

YES! A resounding YES.

I noticed when she stepped up to the podium to deliver her remarks just before President Obama's, the podium bore the Seal of the POTUS - in preparation for his standing there. And what I thought was - "gee, that looks nice!" Visualizing Hillary Clinton standing at a podium with the presidential seal on it just seemed so appropriate. Such a good fit. It looked really right - as in correct, or as it should be.

She looks presidential. She sounds presidential. She ACTS presidential. With class, elegance, and calm understated power. She's weathered so many storms from the radical wrong, personally, that she is a kind of political soul mate to Barack Obama. I hope no one forgets how the Clintons were PERSECUTED by the same people now calling themselves teabaggers. PERSECUTED! They finally had to dig down into the Clintons' underwear drawers to find ANYTHING that would stick and it was flimsy and ridiculous at best. And she's withstood it all! The best revenge is living well. And she's having it! It gives her a great pulpit of her own without putting her into some sort of competitive position with the President.

I just love her! I've been a fan since I first discovered her when her husband ran for President. I had never known a potential First Lady to whom I could relate on a very personal basis - college educated, working, sometimes earning more than her husband, activist, AND, REALLY significant for me - a working mom in her mid-life. And closer to my own age than ANY other First Ladies or First Lady wannabes I'd seen before. We were coming out of barbara "beautiful mind" bush. The ghwb regime was grandparents' age. This was the first First Lady who was sort of on a peer level with me if you stretch the imagination a little, that is.

I've loved and admired her ever since. I think she'd be great doing ANYTHING. She's certainly proved me correct so far!

It's that CEO mentality talking. He's the chief executive. So we might as well say "king."

As CEO, he doesn't have to listen to ANYBODY. He's THE BOSS. And you should just shut up and be grateful you have a job because we all know he likes being able to fire people who serve him. He doesn't need to concern himself so much with the ramifications of his statements because, as CEO, he's basically THE dude. Czar. His Lordship. Owner. Richest among them - thereby also anointing himself as most virile - especially since he fathered sons (FIVE of them). He must think his dick is hundreds of miles wide and a light year long.

And the presidency doesn't work that way. Running a country isn't the same as running a company. Especially a country that purports to be a democracy - where all citizens and all votes are supposedly created equal. He doesn't have the mindset for public service. I've read that about halfway through his first-and-only term as Massachusetts Governor, he kinda lost interest and wasn't even around all that much. Behaved outwardly and in private as a guy who had tired of the job and really didn't want it anymore. We saw that yet again with the Tundra Tart who quit her governor's job shortly after the end of her failed campaign with john mcsame. Lost the election. Had to go back home to WAY-of-the-beaten-path Alaska and her old job that she didn't want anymore now that the '08 campaign left her with unfulfilled stars in her eyes. With her, it was a case of "howya gonna keep 'em down on the farm, after they've seen Paree?"

mitt wrongney is not suited for this job. He just doesn't have it in him. His experience doesn't qualify him. His whole life story doesn't equip him for a job like the presidency. I think this day may have been the beginning of the end.

THAT SAID, I am NOT going to get complacent. Still gonna work myself silly for Obama and the other Dems! EVERYBODY here should.

A.G.R.E.E.D.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your cash ain't nothin' but trash, mr. wrongney.

I think it may have been the late great Molly Ivins who described george duhbya bush by saying "born on third base, thought he hit a triple." And I think it applies beautifully to mitt wrongney and his wife ayn.
