WOW! What a great video!
We need our bees. I'm glad there are people who want to help.
Fourth photo - I've got those coming up in my front garden.
The ones with the long slender green leaves, each with a white center stripe. I think they're crocuses. Whatever they are, they're BACK!
They all sure seem to know where the "comfy chair" is.
Which quite simply means WE CAN'T QUIT.
We don't DARE quit.
Now that Roe has been taken away, I find myself wondering which of our rights (women's rights in particular) is next on the chopping block. Seriously. Why would they stop at Roe, now that they've gotten a taste of that kind of domineering triumph??? You KNOW they want more.
STILL not enough.
Mongo Impressed!
Everybody's hometown newspaper should be endorsing Joe Biden for reelection, and warning against voting for the donald.
Welcome to DU, John Farmer!
You'd ordinarily think so. The main problem with that is, by the time consequences start being A) seen, B) noticed, C) analyzed in the media, and D) attracting public attention and outrage, it'll be easy NOT to connect the consequences of the future to the causes in the past that nobody remembers anymore.
That's why folks like us, who ARE watching and listening and keeping track and fighting back are critically important right now. DU can be quite a valuable resource in that.
And again, I feel like I should point out, here, that when I post comments like this one, I am NOT involved in DU other than as just a regular user (and appreciator). I gain nothing, certainly nothing financial or in any form of privilege here, other than what one gets for a star membership, which is something one has to pay for (and I'm glad to).
It's just a REALLY great forum filled with skilled writers and world-class thinkers and excellent links to anything you want to learn more about. I'm a 70-year-old Caucasian grandma who's been a life-long voter for Democrats, and who's kept up with the news since the JFK assassination, and I love this place! I still learn something new here, every day.
Yep. I wish this wasn't true, but it IS. And I bet most of 'em don't even realize it.
They voted for a SLOGAN. A nice-sounding SLOGAN. "Pro-liiiiiiiiife!!!!"
And I bet precious few of them even stopped to think about the ramifications of such a decision. Are they ready for most obstetricians to leave that state? Are they even stopping to think about their sister, friend, neighbor, daughter, daughter-in-law, cousin, you-name-her, who will be DIRECTLY, and EMOTIONALLY, and therefore PAINFULLY affected by this horrendous Dark-Ages intrusion on our personal lives AND our very bodies.
It is BEYOND an outrage. Women EVERYWHERE better come out this November and VOTE. It's YOUR body and YOUR privacy and YOUR right to make your own hugely personal decisions affecting YOUR life that is ALL at risk. And Republicans have to be force-fed reality as everybody else sees it and lives it, rather than their own narrow, insular, and fanciful, Stone-Age views.
